We all know there is that one playstyle that makes you want to throw your keyboard. Whether it’s spam running, spam blocking, or someone abusing some broken skills and combo, what’s the most annoying thing you’ve had to deal with in AO PvP? And how do you counter it (if is it even possible)

Mages
Poison + plasma size mage. Absolute lag generators and there’s nothing you can do to escape their DPS unless you’re on a big island.

they hit you once, there goes half your hp (unless your using Wind)
shadow mage spam
funny how all submissions so far have been mages
I think shadow magma is really a big contender for a brain dead metamancer

Max power berserkers and gun zoners
Any build that does 100000000 damage just by permastalling and waiting for endlag (unless you have a lightspeed build you’re cooked)
agility backdash and endlag demons
gun users sorta fit into this but i respect them a lot more

There’s nothing quite like landing a solid hit, knowing it’ll really hurt them as long as you maintain it, see them stop for a split second to press shift with wind magic, and delete your entire gimmick.

i think clicking m1 for 300 damage is kinda unfair honestly regardless of your aim “skill”
i literally cannot counter guns at all i play speed metal i just lose
people who play VERY passively like holy shit dude your not cold your just fucking annoying
beam is also annoying, its not a play style but ill be 20 feet to the left and just randomly get tivked for 120
