The “no-life” stereotype for forumers is pretty popular, but why is it even a thing? (And yes, I’m aware of that the forums are questionable, but “no-life” is ehh…)

Alternatively “no-life”
A type of person who spends way too much time on something virtual instead of real life (excluding using a keyboard + mouse, touch screen, etc.), which explains why it contains the word “life”. This is normally used to stereotype people who play games and any activity within said games, however this does not stop this stereotype from extending far from a videogame.
Some activities (such as virtual art) and of course using your computers for making real cash can be exempt from this.
Examples:
“bro this dw person is a no life”
“you seriously no-lifed bss?”
“shut ar no life”
As to specifically AO forums “no life”, it probably fits in the definition I gave.

Cause these days investing time into anything = no-lifing it.
Some ppl on here probably genuinely no-life the forums by being active 24/7 instead of being productive, but it’s generally an exaggeration when ppl say it
It’s an especially common saying when someone gets regular or another title that requires a lot of time/effort to acquire

It’s really not to be honest, there’s so many other digs or phrases you could say instead of “no life”
It’s not even a dig though
but it kinda is, its usually a playful dig at someone
…or a dig at yourself if you’re that kind of self-deprecating person.

I won’t take it far to no life
but, I do think most people here check the forum every day because of that squeeze of notification in your post or a comment you made, and the reply seems to be more rewarding than likes
