I’ve been working on a warlock for every fighting style, and I’ve pretty much planned out all the fighting styles and their respective magics, except for boxing.
current planned builds, for the curious
Lighting + Sailor style (if I ever do an ice sailor it’ll be on another alt, since this one’s already fully done)
Ash + Thermo fist (I wanna do explosion, refer to above about that)
Poison + Iron leg (fuck crystal iron leg meta all my homies hate crystal iron leg meta)
Acid + Cannon fist (Little known fact: Cannon fist applies bleed on hit, meaning most of the good conjurer imbues for bleed synergy also work with cannon fist)
Shadow + Basic combat (pretty much just for the good stat spread)
I actually made an ice boxing save with the idea being that boxing might work as wind magic in terms of synergies. (It didn’t.)
Now I’m stuck on what to use for boxing. I could run light to emphasize the speed of boxing, or wind to double up on the knockback, but it just feels off picking one of those two…
So, I wanna know what the forum thinks would be good. Wind? Light? Something else entirely that I didn’t think of trying?
Honestly I don’t think it’ll work as well as a wind mage would
The main reason for the distance that a wind mage gets with knockback is that pillar explosions count as an upwards hit, so the opponent is sent into the sky
can’t replicate that with boxing, so the best source of funny knockback would be to just use the magic, which kinda defeats the point
probably because of it’s size as knockback is proportional to the size of the attack, wind probably doesn’t give it much knockback while reducing it’s size considerably, which could just result in a net negative interaction. My theory at least
ice
because people aren’t sure if it has wind magic interactions
if it does it should freeze people on hit
and if it doesn’t idk salvage it into ice sailor
