I think it’s really more about how old the teacher is.

I’ve heard of some old teachers who kept teaching during lockdowns/potential school shooter (the dude was a joke because I shared a class with him but that’s besides the point).

My history teacher’s a bit cheeky so I chose that option as well.

Some of the old teachers are mega bummers though… the rest are basically equal.

You know it’s interesting.

People stereotype that math teachers always show up regardless.

This entire term (half a semester in other words) my math teacher showed up TWICE

ONLY TWICE!!

are they fired

also i remember a few years ago, my math teacher was always late by like 10-15 mins

I think it’s probably independent of the subject they are teaching, and more closely related to how much they actually want to teach, and how much they can force themselves to ignore the danger to their own health.

the physics teacher which I had for like 3 years was like 75 ish years old and he only got ill once that entire time
he was also always in the class way before the lesson was supposed to start, even if it was the first lesson of the day, so we used to joke that he must be living in his classroom

my history teacher exudes determination, i don’t think she’s ever even been sick

My math teacher broke her foot WHILE TEACHING and she just KEPT TEACHING

If they are not fired, they are most likely tenured and does research more than teaching

wait you guys had math teachers?

unironically i havent seen my langauge, not english but language teacher for half the term they just keep putting this sub instead of her

my portuguese teacher only missed 1 single day of class in my 14 years of taking class from her
and it was because she broke her left arm

she adapted :fearful:

is it a student teacher? some colleges do something like that with people learning to be teachers

no shes married she still hasnt rocked up even, i have a langauge class today and it says its a sub

It’s definitely not english.
I didn’t have an english teacher show up for more than 1 or 2 days in a row over the span of about a year and a half.

Only 1 day missed from a broken arm? Did she buy a T3 healing pot somewhere in that 1 day or what

probably

Funny that people said “Math Teacher”, I borrowed his math book one time cause I didnt have one, the literal next day, he was absent because of Covid.

Dude gave me and my family the first taste of Covid :skull: (except my mom, shes literally immune somehow)

He’s a nice teacher tho

Oh, and he literally finishes marking students’ tests in one day.

The third one’s probably my Social Science teacher… she’s so rule following, she’d never take an “unnecessary” leave. Even my sixth grade Social Science teacher (not the current one obviously) came to school and walked all the way to the 2nd floor every day for weeks despite her fractured foot.
