Why don’t people just put Virtuous on a non-Atlantean item instead
Honestly the Atlantean modifier being incompatible with the virtuous enchant seems so unnecessary, insanity 1-2 (without warding) builds are already better because by putting virtuous instead of any other enchantment your quite literally sacrificing a proper exotic enchant for 1 warding, which only caters to defense.
Not like Warding completely negates insanity anyway, plus you can quite literally switch your Virtuous enchant anyway SO WHAT’S THE POINT? nobody runs a proper insanity 5 and warding 5 build anyway, not that I’ve seen one.
ur warding needs to be higher than insanity, and u insanity 5 will just kill u
All the more makes the change useless then, there should at least be some sort of lore explanation because idk why the change was implemented now lol (I know vetex doesn’t do the balancing)
Way cooler to have a cursed item blessed with divine properties conflicting with one another than to completely restrict it.
I don’t know how much of this went through but I believe there were some harsh nerfs to warding and virtuous as well, when the problem really only lied in people minmaxxing their build because some oversight made it possible to have insane stats (haha quite literally)
It does make sense because the contained insanity build was basically giving a lot more than a normal build would have while still being a normal build from the outside
one of the balance team said that it defeats the purpose of insanity, and i respect the guy, he is rlly cool and helpful but looking back, what is he on? isnt the vit enchant whole purpose to defeat insanity

THIS MAKES WARDING A ONE-TIME ENCHANT, ONLY USEFUL FOR THE DARK SEA even if there are WARDING POTIONS! Which by the way like you said, kills build diversity, sigh, do NOT let them cook istg 1 good balance change out of 10 bad balance changes…
It doesn’t even completely negate the insanity, it just delays it, so it’s not really killing it’s purpose now is it? sigh. Well you can still switch your enchants it’s all good i guess.
i asked one of them to give me a example of a good virt + insanity build and guess what
i will say i cam pretty close to it, do u know what build is better than that? atk speed + size, atk size + agil, atk speed + agil or just go full on in atk size, agil or speed
I wouldn’t really say it’s that powerful but it’s a pretty well rounded build (insanity build) that said I don’t actually know what warding 5 prevents what insanity 4 can do however those visual insanity inducement are probably a pain in the butt that it’s not worth it, have they even tried it even?
Sub-stats that are rounded off won’t be that significant compared to ones that focuses on 1, or to builds that primarily focuses on defense and power.
My insanity 2 (which by the way, is pretty manageable) build has at least OR around 85 power, 1050 defense, 160 ATK size and then 40(?) intensity. Results in around 420 ult blast damage while having 2,800+ HP if aura is popped, 2k hp normally, while having the size advantage too… (which i think won’t be gutted by the sub-stat nerf since I am a close-ranged mage anyway, the size just makes it easier)
I’m literally going to cry if they didn’t take the consideration of what Insanity does visually and instead judged on what stats insanity builds give, I swear bro. THE INSANITY 3 SOUL HALLUCINATION IS NOT MANAGEABLE, IT LITERALLY BLINDS YOU FOR 30 SECONDS WITHOUT A HIGH WARDING STAT!
I think the mistake was making the Virtuous enchant be more than just 1 level of Warding. Why is it also a Hard enchant, again?
instanity 4 can kill u but isnt a 100% chance
they wanted people to invest in sub stats, and now they are taking away a way to invest in sub-stats that anyways isnt even a good way to do it

If you don’t use insanity builds, then it doesn’t affect you at all.
Like this is technically a nerf, but it’s so marginal that it barely matters.
I don’t use most builds. That doesn’t mean it’s not an L when balance team does something generally considered to be a stupid move.
I wouldn’t even call it a nerf, it’s such a pointless change it only adds inconvenience, who even pvps with warding 5 insanity 4? insanity 3 would be the MOST you should get without having complete eye seizures + disadvantage, not sure if the insanity damage at 4th level still applies at high warding stat tho.
I don’t even use warding on my builds, I just pop a potion If I need a break or go play on a different file If I want to see the game properly lol.
What made them make this change anyway? Did someone with this build happened to beat a fellow balancer/tester again? I really need to see clips of people using these builds and If it shows complete eye seizures of visuals then it’s clear it’s not a viable build regardless of the stats given.
