What was your level when you defeat king calvus?

Max. I can try and help alleviate some of the problems.

Like many, I struggled heavily with Calvus until I came to understand how he attacks. He actually is the most forgiving boss when you understand him, not many others have the wide windows of vulnerability that calvus has.

Build plays a huge role in how much trouble you will have with him too. If you’re a melee weapons user or a berserker he’s gonna be rougher than he is for mage/mage hybrids.

For my mage like 105-110 ish but he got bugged in the floor and trivialized half the fight, for my conjurer 125 and still took a dozen tries.

That is fair, a lot of Calvus’s attacks have decently large attack windows before or after they fire, only reason I beat him on my conjurer, main problem he poses for me is how relentless he can get with attacks during second phase.

I’m 103 conjurer and i took his 4/3 of his max hp and die
should i try more or grind level?

103 warlord, took 5-6 tries.
115 warrior, 2-4
110 mage, 1st try

He doesn’t have any sorta healing thing like Elius so you can, and should wait for his punish windows like the placed explosion or his blast charge

I didnt have to fight him, it randomly completed lol

Somebody was bodying him while i did the cutscene so he was down 2/3 of his health by the time i started attacking

There’s no point in fighting Calvus at a low level or just barely meeting the level requirement since you’ll need level 119 just shortly after for your awakening anyways.

at level 100 savant (as balanced as possible which i regret because i can’t use multi attack second magic) i got him to second phase twice
at level 101 i gave up for a while because he was really hard and i was going to escape the island to go upgrade my gear, but some other dude grinding calvus was there i clipped through the window from the outside to get into the fight (i just dashed in) and he died, after i died.

I was teamed with @Derp and another one of my friends who was a warlock and already has awakening so I forgot but we stomped him :+1:

Like 106. Had help from @Divanochi in order to actually beat him but the lowest I had gotten him was to like 400.

Pretty sure I was around 103 or so

I left the fight to go level my stuff up (I didn’t even have any fighting style mastery on thermo at the time) then me and thatoneguy fought him together
