oh yeah one time i got ganked by 3 big oily atlanteans
Just sunk an Atlantean ship and killed all of the crew on my way back with 60+ sealed, suddenly while I was jumping to the other ship, a white eyes jumped out of the water and ate me…
My ship spontaneously entered warp drive and I fell off the deck into the water, watching it careen towards the horizon.
everytime i reach insanity 2, i do a 180 and go out, but even then, it still spawns i2 islands in i1, and i wake up with 2 atlantean warriors dealing 300 dmg on me, or an aimbot mage dealing 700 dmg
TWO white eyes spawned in
A whirlpool appeared right beneath my boat, followed by a tornado, blaze and a massive wave
I hate range 5
Water poisoning while on the other side of an island that was probably bigger than mount orthys
Hiding inside of caves that I was keeping track of did nothing to stop the effect.
Also water poisoning bullshit seconds after getting into a close fight with an atlantean.
Also struck by lightning and launched off the back of my ship directly into the white eyes following us.
Worst of all is when I got pulled off of my ship by a wave, and then pulled away from my ship by another wave, and then again, and then again until I ran out of stamina.
There was also the time that I was in range 5 being chased by an armored brig, I jumped off of my ship to anger the crew so I could sail away and the ship just kept attacking mine without having a crew, leading me to getting stranded on an island with there being absolutely nothing I could have done about it.
I understand the dark seas are supposed to be hazardous but I hope its changed to be less absolute complete and utter bullshit at times.
I love game ending mechanics that are entirely controlled by random chance 
The funny thing is that I am honestly 100% confident in my ability to explore any range of the dark seas for as long as I want.
The only times I ever fail an expedition is to undeniable bullshit that’s occasionally so egregious and unavoidable I almost want to make a ticket to get my rewards back even though I know nothing would come from it.
I can relate to water poisoning. I hate it so much, why does it even exist? And not even prayers will make vetex remove it now
random events don’t make something more difficult they just make it irritating

- Or, my personal favorite, dying because of lightning strikes (go vouch for my dark Sea QOL post btw it will help with a lot of these issues )
I once got knocked into the sea by a wind magic Siren and was instantly eaten by a giant White Eyes. Lost a lot of chests that day

a similar thing happened to me, I had just sunk an Atlantean ship and while fighting them, my brother stole every single chest and got himself an acrimony. This was immediately followed by me getting jumped by a white eyes which had NO hp bar, so I lost 50 sealers and an acrimony smh
