Ok, i’m an explosion mage and wanted to say, before and after the nerf i always thought mage as underpowered compared to magic and stuff, not to say i have suffered all that much but it is very underpowered, to win a fight i gotta run away atleast twice and enter very dangerous close range zones to utilise half the moves offered by mage and seeing as everyone is a weapon or fighting style user, this is not viable. Point being its obsoleted by guns and weapon class and imo, before and after nerf. Why was it considered op in the past?

pulsar was not even that op, you could land 2 dual hits with pistol while hes charging and boom, now we both took 400ish damage

Bro just look at metal mage clips before nerf, also the insane AoE of it in the past from stuff like Explosion or Magma mage. There were also some annoying gimmicks like Poison clouds covering everything but that wasn’t the main issue

Okay, im explosion mage as well. And let me explain.

ALL MAGES WERE OP, Metal and Magma were just so happen to be kings of meta.

  • Huge size of attacks (especialy hammer palced explosion)
  • 5 duration self ult explosion is death machine even now.
  • Pre nerfed pulsar was fast and spammable AOE move that was saying “okay, you cant play where this thing is going”, and explosion being big magic, had that area being stupidly big. +Hitbox =/= visual.
  • Synergy potential
  • “Blast spam”
  • “Placed explosion spam”

in all honesty, i was never struck hard by the nerf with explosion and did not even notice it tbh but yeah

Sound magic snare is a really good counter for most things… WHEN IT HITS!

For person who whitnessesed the
“BRO I AIMED AT YOU” snare bullshit, i still cant really understand how people find snare op. Probably cause im OLD

snare has some weird hit thing, for me it hits 70% of the time and sometimes it just doesnt hit for some reason idk. But when it hits, it hits WELL.

Good counter when it WORKS.

get off me tools are a pain in the ass. finally getting to that goofy ahh mage running like it the olympics and they click snare and fling you into the stratosphere is painful
