What will our potential level be by the end of the year?

I dunno he never specified

People have developed a very negative perception of everything; anything will be seen from the bad side before the good side in most people in this community. I don’t think dragons and Arcanium are worth almost 5 months of waiting. They’re difficult and cool, for sure, and Vetex got sick, totally acceptable, but I still find this wait depressing. Maybe I even developed a dependency on this delay; when I replay the game to max out a new slot, it’s so quick to do everything that’s essential in the game. This time between updates personally helps me develop other areas of the game better, contributing to the feeling of progress for my character. I think a level cap for some stories should really be mandatory. In the future, people will first complete the entire story and only then try to do other important things in the game. A level cap helps the player not to become hyper-focused on something and exclude everything else that’s good for development. Isn’t it the same thing for dragons in a way? The repair kit is meant to limit players from farming frantically, although it’s somewhat irrelevant to someone like me who has 1000 soap and probably 1000 future repair kits. I understand it’s silly, but it’s silly because we’ve waited so long and done so much that we’ve become super rich and already have everything. We just need to get 5 more things from the next update and we’ll have everything again.

Game would be better if we get access to losts already smh

Also frostfire ancient and specifically just frostfire the others will come out later

I don’t think losts would save AO. But 2nd awakening would likely do a lot as it’s suppose to be a major thing for classes

Losts are realistically gonna be one of those features that draws in players for a week or so before they dip

Yeah probably and vetex isn’t really good at capitalizing on that hype. Look at FR’s

Agreed, especially if they are relatively[1] easy to achieve.

To easy or too hard

Plausible Lost Magic Update Flow Chart.

Is it the truth, or is it a mere speculation created by a tweaker?

Pretty much how I expect it to go

Vetex’s updates are too slow he needs a system of like

Mini Consistent 1-2 weeks updates to drop a bug/balance update nothing too major but shows the game alive

Small content updates like our supposed dragon update but leave at just that (obv with bugs and balances mixed in)

Then major updates aka story updates. These updates add more, take longer, but are inbetween mini updates and small content updates

Holy thank you, this is so accurate. AO’s main problem is not having a good loop or enjoyable obtainment of items, which sounds trivial until your realise obtaining items is 99% of the game

It’s ironic, Arcane Odyssey contains an “infinite replayable area”, that being the Dark Sea.

Yet the content in there is finite, you can go there once and you will never have to return, even less of a reason to with Fleets granting more Dark Sealed Chests than what you can ever get in a expedition.

I suspect even now, The Dragon Update will have the same layout, of course instead of Lost Magics, it’s Dragonblood Ritual and drops from said dragons, but it’ll all lead back to being uninterested.

The game can’t survive on this, it’s depressing.

I’m not going into the dark sea for money, genuinely it’s such a slog, rng reliant and annoying as hell. You can spend an hour getting 40 dark sealed chests, boom, you just got disconnected because there are 50 different effects and an atlantean brig ramming your ship.

The additional problem is the Dark Sea is too big and non-instanced[1], leading to insane floating-point errors in the later ranges, ruining both sound and sight.

The Dark Sea needs a revamp.

Honestly I just kinda wish every time a major feature or addon was finished and tested it immediately drops

That way we get at least something new ideally every couple weeks

needs is an understatement, that thing is bleeding out in the middle of a field gasping for air

Yeah like dragons and Arcanium should of been split

It has fallen behind since it was mainly scaled for an ao much younger than it is now, so while everything else gets new content the dark sea has been left in the dust (for now)

Arcanium should have been a part of Full Release, or at least close to it, it’s pitiful to call the game Full Release when most classes don’t have their signature tool(s).
