What will our potential level be by the end of the year?

Quick topic. I just want to see your speculations. I hope it’s at least 200, not 195. :wilted_flower:

If chapter 11 is made after chapter 10, that would be incredible, but there will probably be another update in between. I just think it would be nice to pick up the momentum and just finish it. I don’t think we’re going to Vimir this year, but at the same time we still have 8 “whole” months, if everyone locks in…

I hope the development team is doing well.

Likely not, we aren’t close to being done with Nimbus, and after that we’re travelling back to the Bronze Sea for some story-related content before heading over to Vimir.

Granted, we’ll be getting our 2nd awakening at the Nimbus Sea end in some… “fire” ending, as I quote Vetex himself[1], so.. either it’s at 200[2], or 250[3]

  2. Nice round number, that’s it. ↩︎

  3. Double of our previous awakening level, being 125. ↩︎

If the endings are this epic, I hope there isn’t a 3-month break between updates so I don’t forget the last one. I truly hope with all my might that the ENTIRE story is told sequentially in one big update. I have a lot of difficulty immersing myself in anything; I’ll find it cool, 100%, but it will be much more annoying if I forget what happened two days ago. Do people even remember that we went to talk to a tortured and drugged man in a dungeon? (Ren’s friend)

That’s at the moment one of the bigger problems caused by another even bigger problem, that being feature creep.

I won’t elaborate, but feature creep causes this massive delay between updates because he just needs to add and add constantly, but never bothering to remember the timeframe.

Isn’t it bizarre that the dragon update was supposed to implement what Full Release was missing, but still takes several months to come out?

Beginning of Vimir sea storyline

Ahhh, how I love Vetex’s feature creep… :frpensive:

i meann vetex was recovering from a medical procedure for a while so you cant really blame him for that

Sure, him recovering from a medical procedure is excused, but it shouldn’t still take this long for a follow-up update to release, at least a message to the PUBLIC would’ve assisted more than this, as the procedure message was sent exclusively to Patreon folk.

No offense whatsoever, but he is still partially to blame.

We’d be lucky if we get the next chapter this year at the rate we’re moving

182 If we’re lucky

Even that’s too generous ngl

It’s excused that he was recovering this long, but it’s also not excused? This line doesn’t come off too good.

partially

But you partially excusing him means that you’re still partially considering him guilty for not recovering faster from an injury. My stupidity knows no bounds, so I’m trying to reach a more comprehensible answer here.

gee, I’m not saying he should’ve recovered faster, don’t put words into my mouth, I’m saying he’s partially for blame because he failed to announce it was getting delayed plus he’s a feature creeping developer.

he definitely does come up with alot of features on the fly

I think I’ve been feeling this more recently. The only justification I can give is that when he says “dragons,” he means everything that involves dragons, not just dragons. But your point is very obvious, I understood it perfectly; in fact, if it were totally focused on one aspect, it would be a thousand times faster. Unfortunately, there isn’t a large team to help with such lengthy ideas. I find it kind of sad to think that maybe I won’t have another thousand hours to play this game; imagine me dying tomorrow and never seeing the end of one of my favorite games since I was younger.

There are definitely times when vetex should better adress the public, such as this. Some people were unhappy with how slow progress was on the dragons to the point of unjustifiably saying moochezz saved the update by adding arcanium weapons. I won’t go into how justified their complaints were, but if vetex had outright stated he was recovering from a procedure, the complaints would certainly be difficult to justify.
Then there’s fall damage. When it was revealed, the community was very unhappy, feeling the feature would be too intrusive. And how was it handled? Vetex basically said “it’ll be fine shut up”. A very simple, very short video showcasing the fall damage would’ve been enough to calm people down, if it was as unintrusive as he said. But no, vetex just got pissed off and did nothing productive.
It’s been proven that this approach works as well, when people were similarly angry about perceived gutting of agility jewels. In reality, the heavy reduction was needed, and a short video from a tester proved it, showing them crossing half Sameria within 4-5 leaps and dashes, and people calmed down.

the what
what happened.

The energy system rework (rework) showcase video too, once everyone saw it they all realized that it was so much better than what was theorized through patchnotes and the previous energy system in addition to how it makes cooking actually worthwhile.
