Alright I’m aware y’all are gonna say things I already know about it in the replies, however the thing I’m wondering is why some of you go to such extreme lengths to farm renown or even join clans if you just sit around and farm renown if you don’t hunt people. Like hunting people for the PvP is one thing because that’s thrill based but hunting people purely for renown is just a bit extreme. What? So you can have flashy colours? And being number 1 is just a number.
Debate it in the replies because I’m not gonna deal with any ragebait attempts.

mainly just bank storage and besides bragging rights is useless because nobody cares about big clans and there aren’t badges for clan renown. And wdym by drip?

I get bragging rights by saying I was almost guardian in this day and age (lost 800k fame cuz of stupid combat logs, now some lvl 70s have feats)
Almost? And besides bragging rights don’t exist (as I have mentioned in my top post) because nobody takes them serious. “Oh my word he has grinded npcs and players so I must respect them” Most people just don’t care tbh. Not being rude btw it’s just that most don’t

Aura? Like a few people see it and I don’t see what’s amazingly cool about it and player kills doesn’t mean much as it’s just a number and makes people avoid you. And when people think leaderboard I think npc grinding using a sunken set to hide underwater and popping irosnkin and agility pots
To the people who care about bragging rights, the achievements of others are also important.
But also sometimes you want to do it for personal achievements.
Overall it’s the same reason why anyone does anything that’s more difficult than normal. Maybe it’s to prove that you can do it, maybe it’s to experience something new. I don’t know, maybe you just don’t have anything better to do.
To prove they can spend time farming wanted board npcs for some uniform or number
u can only farm npcs till 1m fame, and that is very slow considering you can js hunt emperor of the sea
deepwoken taught me many things about what drives pvpers
its anything that has any statistics that you can increase for everybody to see ngl
and for aura imagine being so feared that people log the second you come cuz you’re literally anakin full potential
