Passively:
Limestone Key - 15 infamy
Harvest Island - 15 Infamy
Whispering Caverns - 15 infamy
Silverhold/Shieldguard - 50 Infamy

  • Opening a sealed chest (Bronze/Nimbus gives 2 infamy, Dark gives 4)

  • Solving Treasure charts give 5 infamy

PvP:
Bounty hunting members of other clans also gains infamy.

  • Hunted New Clan member: Gain 10, hunted loses 15
  • Hunted Rookie Clan member: Gain 20, hunted loses 25
  • Hunted Average Clan member: Gain 30, hunted loses 35
  • Hunted Strong Clan member: Gain 40, hunted loses 45
  • Hunted Superior Clan member: Gain 50, hunted loses 60
  • Hunted Powerful Clan member: Gain 60, hunted loses 70
  • Hunted Supreme Clan member: Gain 70, hunted loses 80
  • Hunted Legendary Clan member: Gain 80, hunted loses 90

Taking an island from a clan takes infamy from that clan.

  • Captured New Clan’s island: Gain 40, previous owner loses 45
  • Captured Rookie Clan’s island: Gain 70, previous owner loses 75
  • Captured Average Clan’s island: Gain 100, previous owner loses 105
  • Captured Strong Clan’s island: Gain 130, previous owner loses 135
  • Captured Superior Clan’s island: Gain 170, previous owner loses 180
  • Captured Powerful Clan’s island: Gain 230, previous owner loses 240
  • Captured Supreme Clan’s island: Gain 290, previous owner loses 300
  • Captured Legendary Clan’s island: Gain 350, previous owner loses 360

Hi! I used to be on clan leaderboard and have held every position from #1 to #20 when I played AO more actively, so I think this is the perfect opportunity to share some of my knowledge about climbing the infamy ladder.

  1. Have enough members - It’s possible to get high infamy with a low amount of members, but they would have to be very dedicated, aim for around 20-30 active members to maintain infamy gain (don’t ask me how to recruit members though - that’s never been my strong suit).
  2. Steal all Islands and Leave - This is the most reliable method amongst leaderboard clans currently, join a server, check for claimed islands, contest & kill, steal the island, unclaim the island, then either proceed to the next claimed island or hop servers, ganks & hunting aren’t worth it anymore due to nerfs to infamy gain from hunting.
  3. Understand that gaining Infamy isn’t a straight line - You’re never gonna gain the same amount everyday, so it’s unrealistic to set any expectations or infamy goals for yourself, you’ve gotta do the right steps and see where it leads you, that’s your indicator of it you’re doing good enough at gaining infamy.

It’s been nerfed by 75% since, Fandom Wiki takes another loss.

Basically the more higher up in rank the clan is the more infamy it gives / looses
