Whats the beef with suncry?

I’m not very active in the community and I’m curious. I love some good drama. Are they toxic in any particular ways?

I like how I was once suspected to be an alt of one of the Suncry Leader’s who also happened to be named “Jason Lamina” But they use Light Magic instead of Magma

I don’t really know all that much about their guild history, but from what I can gather, they’re most of notorious for:

  • Extreme farming of players when the guilds update first released since killing anyone above level 45 gave infamy (although I think every if not most leaderboard did the same); although they still ganked players pretty heavily once the target shifted to only players in guilds after an update, but still, an issue not unique to SunCry, they’re just the worst example
  • Having their 2nd leader, Jason, outed as a predator
  • Going through some controversy with Talo’s leadership, culminating in Talos being banned in-game and later a few other members being in-game banned as well for conflicts with CC, which led to Talos being forcibly demoted under the threat of SunCry being dissolved by Iri (I’m pretty vague on the details on this one in particular, since I don’t care enough to read through the countless conflicting messages from multiple sides)

I’m not all that involved in guilds, so again, there’s probably countless details I glossed over.

Second leader outed as a predator? Jesus that is bad. Is he gone now? I’d think so.

Yeah, after he was exposed he stepped down and was kicked by the SunCry council I think.

Suncry is just filled with a bunch of PvP dudes who kill players on sight. Freshie or not.
