Nah u guys havent witnessed .25 tick wind pulsar. the most oppresive pulsar BY FAR

i hate how knockback in general SETS velocity instead of averaging or adding it (knockback feels so artificial and janky just like a machine crane is moving you)

wind pulsar if it keeps knockback, should do like 3 damage

Tbh they can keep it there will be more gimicky magic spells,ftsyles etc… i rlly like that every playstyle in ao has its own way of being a lil busted in its own way we actually see everyone running different builds, i think rn is definitly the best state pvp has been in.

here's my opinion

Blast: Shadow

  • shadow is very well rounded

Explosion: Sand/Metal/Earth

  • a magic’s speed affinity doesnt affect it that much
  • sand: a little damage loss for slightly less windup and endlag
  • earth: big and high damage
  • metal: slightly smaller than earth, even higher damage, a little slower

Beam: Shadow

  • high damage, good range, hitscan

Snare: Metal

  • how does a magic’s speed affinity affect snare
  • i think size barely affects this shit

Javelin:

  • my javelin is too small (on 2nd magic) :pensive:
  • idk i never used it

Pulsar: Sand/Metal

  • sand: has high damage while still being fast enough to travel somewhat far away if you’re trying to chip off a far target’s health
  • shadow could also work, similar reason to sand above
  • metal: a shitton of damage and pulsar would linger in one spot for longer, which can be a good or bad thing

Surge: Metal

  • magic speed affinity barely affects shit
  • size too but neh
  • very high damage

Sand got coolest pulsar I remember calling it Eroding Star on my mage slot and I felt good about it :smiling_face_with_tear:

As of right now, the current voted best are…

Blast: Shadow (obvious?)
Explosion: Explosion (lol)
Beam: Light (how?)
Snare: Light (how?)
Javelin: Crystal (hmm crystallized proc?)
Pulsar: Metal (v1.11 ptsd flashbacks)
Surge: Light/Wind (i understand both)

So guess what my 2nd magic should be for shadow? Light! To occupy the remaining spell slots! Because I’m running out of shadow slots.

plus lightning is kinda mid tbh

You may not believe this but it’s not just because of the blinding effect, Light Snare is hilariously easy AND very quick to land despite it’s low size. (still effective on 2nd magic)

Can’t forget it also gives i-frames that make it a free, instant attack dodge at close range

Sand javelin because massive sand piles are funny.

You guys didn’t pick wood for every single option? I’m disappointed…
