What's with all the random sealed chests?

idk why but I’ve been finding sealed chest in the middle of nowhere, why do I randomly find some sealed chests in the most random of places?

Did someone leave them here?

these ones were in the nimbus lands but I’ve also found some floating in the middle of the ocean

people who do charts usually dont take them due to loot isnt worth so much and in skyhall transporting them is extra hard so they leave them

I’ve also found them in other places, like the vents of aeolus

yeah i see them too in other places too people are bit lazy to carry them to their ships so you can see this anywhere actually

sealed chests from charts just arent worth it so thats why when you pass by limestone or akursius you see 100 sealed chests

Some folks don’t get much value out of Sealed Chests, since their ships are effectively finished. In the Nimbus Wilds specifically, it’s a complete chore to get them down.

If I had to guess, it might be because of somebody doing a Mythical or Lost Treasure Chart; pirates from the second spot onward seem to only spawn when picking up the Sealed Chests, so they leave them there for an easier time. Main reason I say this is because one time I picked up a pair of abandoned Sealed Chests, and ended up getting pirates to spawn on me immediately after.

So they’re not actually looking for treasure but the experience of mugging someone

Yeah they are useless now so people don’t bother picking them up is such low quantity since fleet exists

they are so bad, i wouldnt even mind if they were completely removed from charts and replaced with regular chests

kind of the same deal why sealed never spawn in abyss diving, nobody wants them

Sealed are useless for people doing lost/mythical charts and it’s a waste of time to reposition the ship or constantly turn back for more sealed, especially when you get 4+ sealed per chart.

From my testing, they spawn when the last chest is dug up, it doesn’t matter if you pick up sealed chests, it’s just the last chest that matters.
