What's with people and femboys?

I was talking with Ellis about random stuff, and one thing that briefly came up was a question that I want to ask here now, to try to get an actual answer:

What’s with people and femboys?
From what I usually see online, people are… weird about femboys. Like, enough that this forum wouldn’t allow it. I know that some people can get horny over anything, but, at least from what I usually see, people tend to be weirder over femboys than actual women :sob:.

That leads me to the main question (or at least a more specific one): what is it that makes people weirder over femboys than actual women?? Isn’t the entire point of one that they look just like one???

angels and wings

don’t speak like an arbiter, say it straight (or given what this forum is like at least bluntly, without flowery language and metaphor)

Femboys are still boys, and that makes most of them more tolerant towards weird jokes I guess.

This isn’t what I meant. The actual input of the person (female or feminine male) is irrelevant, as I’m talking about the people that would make the weird jokes. Also, I was moreso referring to fictional characters.

I’m not gay enough to know that. Though, these people may do that because of my previously metioned reason. They’d get less backlash from weird femboy jokes than women ones. And fictional characters? I don’t fucking know.

Honestly, I’ve always hated the term “femboy” due to how grossly sexualized the group is. Like, point me to a SINGLE designated femboy that isn’t designed with a mini-skirt and is used for frequent sexual jokes.

Like dude, that’s a sixteen year old boy that you’re talking about. What are you, an Ancient Greek?

I understand what you’re saying, but I want to say that this isn’t particularly the thread for complaining about femboys due to being sexualized as much as it is me asking why they are as such

Because people are horny, more or less. The idea isn’t really for them to posses positive feminine traits—we just call those kind/gentle men—it’s just for them to be a lust object.

But why does it seem like people lust over femboys more as opposed to women or just men if you’re gay?

they’re gay

then why not just men

Two main reasons:

A) They’re male, so it’s okay for whatever reason.

B) Men are harder to sexualized than women. Thus, to sexualized them, they’re made to seem like women. Somehow it’s both misogyny and misangyny at the same time.

I can’t believe we’ve achieved sexist+.

interesting theories

That’s not how that works. It’s literally just personal preference. It’s the same way a lesbian woman could prefer a butch or tomboy over a “traditional woman”. You can prefer someone being a certain gender while also preferring them portraying another. Otherwise, it’s just a common ironic joke to fantasize about femboys, it’s pretty typical humor.

when does it stop being ironic?

Welcome to the internet. The place where we search for lows so far down that Satan asks if we have a mining permit.

This reminded me of a guy rambling about femboys in this same perspective so;

Essentially– Its (or I think Its) because that they’re men that tries to be cute, and wants to be cute. That’s really all there is, I think. Keyword: “tries”.

Either because they are viewed that way because of the internet, or because inherently they practice trying to be that way and is just too familiar with it now, or that both parties are touch-starved.

Also because there is “no consequences” if you get what I mean. I literally cannot find a better word for this since I have such a small vocabulary.

Anyways the point is I don’t really understand it either!

the second one was unexpected but makes some sense, a nice theory
