reasons for my answers
majority of savants are new players that don’t know what they’re doing
almost no one uses it in pvp as i have never seen one
i have a savant slot and i find it very powerful since it can inflict so many status effects
magic savant for now is definitely more powerful, even with berserker there arent a lot of uses for the second fighting style but with magic another status effect can be applied
honestly idk what is more popular but because i made a magic savant im gonna say magic savant
if someone’s a savant i usually think they’re either a new player who doesn’t know much or someone who knows a good amount and has a niche interest
Most savants are new players and I don’t think anyone’s going to argue against that. Savant is the easiest build to go on accident because it’s the only build that requires more then 2 stats to go, which is what most new players will make the mistake of.
Savant rn is fairly rated. Even as a main of the build I have to admit savant is not popular for good reason.
It depends entirely on skill as you are at a permanent disadvantage of damage and size. Even with the best gear and build the most you’ll be busting out is like 450 every smash and like 200 to 250 a hit.
Savant is, has, and always will be only as good as the player savant can still be used to fight however you’d HAVE to know what you’re doing. If you’re aimlessly using skills and not focusing on what you should be using, any half decent hybrid with semi viable armor will tear you to pieces in seconds.
Oh yeah and double magic savant is superior in every way imaginable.
The ability to use 2 of the dozens of magics we have in the game and you want to punch people in a different way, chad energy don’t get me wrong, but it’s still dumb
Popularity between 2 magics and 2 fs is non debatable and I don’t even need to say who the victor is the votes give it away.
I don’t really think of anything when I see a savant player.
Savant isn’t exactly popular among the more experienced people. You’ll see more professional pure and hybrids on average than savants.
Think of a Savant as a DMC character. You have a wide variety of weapons and skills at your disposal. It’s all about how you use them together that determines how strong you are overall. If you can’t use it right, you’re not going to get far.
I have a fire/ash/cannon fist file and you gotta have really good aim to hit anything with it… and i think i’m gonna switch to boxing because cannon fist really ain’t allat
but honestly it’s not the worst if you build it right. as of right now you should NEVER have vitality and your weapon stat should always be 50. but that leaves 200 points between magic and strength which does give you quite a bit
Honestly all the builds I see expressed on the forums just use two fighting styles
I get it now because most savants run 100 strength for thermo fist or sailor style so homing in on the bigger stat is a better idea, but later I’d expect magic savant to be more famous since spells are generally more powerful late game.
Imagine when savants get spell shapes.
Having 2 fighting styles isn’t as nice as having two magics. Fighting styles aren’t numerous enough to synergize with each other like magics do. Not to mention that basic combat and cannon style don’t even have a magic correlation.
yunno before AO released, My main had a choice of Savant or Conjurer. Part of the reason why I went Savant is because Conjurers didn’t get 2nd Magic until 2nd Awakening
After release, I realized 2nd Magic Savant wasn’t up to my expectations (my fault), though I didn’t have any thoughts of changing to Conjurer since Savant 2nd Awakening is just raw asf
Good Savants are scary man, they can go everywhere mid-air with their magic leap and crash + 2nd crash and just removes 200 HP out of nowhere and never misses with the musket shots lol.
