When exactly did Winterveil fall? (Lore Question)

This actually makes no sense. In Neviro’s journal, he describes Kessler’s eldest son as his father. Why would he be so specific if he just calls him his Grandfather for fun? Even if his father did call Kessler his dad, he certainly wouldn’t be the eldest son, as that would, at the very least, be his father. I might have to dm tech at this point, and present all the evidence.

Crazy how they essentially had to retcon character journals for this (Either that or make Neviro oblivious to his own family history)

I guess Vetex’s All-Encompassing-Retcon Blast has no limits huh.

“Canon fist: retcon!”

tell me how it goes

I got a response! Supposedly the family tree is intentionally confusing. Likely because there is a curse user involved, and they don’t always call each other by their precise family relations.

Edit: @LoreHunter because they asked

Do you think you could paste the image he sent here, cause I can barely read it from the screenshot

there’s more lore I’m getting as we speak and I’ll dump it all here eventually when I get all the info I need, hopefully I know my limits and don’t fall down a rabbit hole

winterveil is Alabama confirmed Jesus christ

DAMN YOU KESSLER AND YOUR IMMORTALITY! YOU FUCKED OVER THE FAMILY TREE!

Watch as Neviro’s 500 cousins all come to visit him because Kessler had like 43 children over his lifetime

Oh, also, I forgot to mention but we can solve this thread because Techlevel already told us the ages of Neviro. I f we take his response to the message as confirmation that Neviro’s father was 80 years old when he had Neviro (or, at the very least very very old)

We can approximate the time Winterveil fell, placing it around the 1760s or so. As Neviro’s father (who at this point should be in his 100s in the current storyline) was 3 when Winterveil fell.

There may be a margin of error, since Tech never confirmed nor denied that Neviro’s dad was 80 years old. But I’d say this is an accurate enough guess lol

DAMN IT. At least I was close

Well, at least the thread is solved!

I have more to say about this subtopic. Should I do it here, or make a new post?

@Divanochi can we have a side topic

I’m fairly new to the forums, from my perspective anyway. What is a side topic?

should be fine if its vaguely relevant to winterveil lore and timelines and stuff

a topic split off from the main one

I don’t know what else I expected. That makes sense.

Through what tech told me, Nero was arrested a VERY long time ago, before the Grand Navy became ‘The Grand Navy’. Ravenna before Nero came to power (and by god did he come to power fast), was a protectorate. It was just like Redwake, a civilized culture. I dont know if it had its own army yet but I do know that they had rulers before hence why Calvus is the fourth. I’d assume they used this protectorate for the bronze. Ravenna has always been Roman, however. They existed in tandem with Winterveil until the protectoracy was overturned due to Winterveil’s alledged involvement in a genocide of its own (probably the biggest plot twist imo).

The rest here is just speculation, however I assume what Nero did was retribution or just him trying to get his getback. It isnt justified, but it’s just the nature of the War Seas I suppose.

Also this should probably be put in a separate topic
