When the second magics come out what combos do you guys think will bo good?

cause when I think about it id at first think to go for different magic like light and gold but if I were to do something such as that when I get a lost magic or primordial magic they wouldn’t work well cause of the contrast so id need to choose something that works well for both or choose one that works well for my preferred magic, while if I had 2 fast magics such as light and paper I could have primordial magic and lost magic that work well with both pretty easily, so some combos can be good at first glance but id say consider lost and primordial magic before you say what combos you think would be good

explosion + plasma = best combo :>>>>>>>>>> and when third magics come out i will get poison
best combo :>>>>>>

Ash and Fire since I’m stuck with one.

Fire enables Ash to petrify and does +20% per hit on a petrified person without removing the status effect. If only petrified was good tho-

Add Magma/Acid/Explosion for that sweet, juicy +40% on petrified and *mwuah*

You don’t need to. Lost and Primordial Magics are almost standalones when compared to Elemental Magics. There are however, some distinct subtypes:
Heat-based: These magics are fiery and do DoT. Examples are Inferno, Flare, Promethean Fire and Solar. These may have special interactions with heat-based Elemental Magics.
Support Magics: These include Life, Healing, Wave, Reflector, and Dispelling.

The other magics are basically standalones. Aether is a light-based magic, yet it functions extremely differently from the other light-based magic, Life. Thus we can expect it to have unique and special interactions… or more likely no interactions with existing magics at all.
Thus when considering magic combos we must look at two things: a) Elemental Magic combos b) Strengths and Weaknesses and c) Purpose.
Elemental Magic combos require the most research. You need to know which magics pair well with the magics you’re using and then decide from there. Nonetheless, they’re also the most straightforward.
Strengths and Weaknesses are something that must be considered from the start if you choose Light as your magic. Having no positive interactions, Light users must look towards other benefits. A Light user may choose to use Gold, so as to make up for their weaknesses, or use Lightning, because they’re used to fast magics. The same can be said of Lost and Primordials. A Gold Magic user may choose to go with Flare Magic so as to make up for AoE and DoT, or may choose Diamond so as to keep using heavy hitting attacks with high damage.
Purpose is more specific towards supporting magics or magics with “gimmicks”. A person may choose Life Magic or Healing Magic so as to provide support to teammates, or possibly choose Art of Order because they seek to focus on opponents of the opposite reputation. A Paper user may choose Apocalypse Bringer because they’re tired of doing no destruction. These things must also be considered when deciding magic combos.

As a Light user I have the least and at the same time the most choices. I have no positive interactions but at the same time I can choose any magic but Shadow, which has a negative interaction. Being a crazy idiot I have long since decided to use Shadow as my second magic, even if Equinox is not added to the game (I mean the thing got 50+ votes vetex please add it). I also intend to go for Aether if only for the aesthetic effects and lastly probably for Death because I’m a crazy idiot who wants magics of opposing types.

A magic that blinds + a magic that can freeze with it

Reasoning?
I once had my ass whupped by two mc scouts with ink and ice.

light and fire  = flare, lol im not doing that xd light can blind and I can make sure the person doesn’t see my attacks

lol same haha

If no one reads my essay I will be sad.

Im just a fire user so Im going for flare and inferno when lost magic come out

trying to read it but it hurts my eyes because its small or not, idk

My magic will be
Wind, snow, and lightning
Just for that whole “gimmick” you mentioned (that’s what you mean by gimmick right?)

And hopefully storm magic as well
Also another support lost/primordial just to complete the clearing effects type support that wind offers

Or even gravity/pressure just because of the crowd control that wind also offers.

Yay people read my essay.

@MemeSnorfer you could also try Slash Magic simply because it’s Wind based as well. Probably won’t have many interactions with wind if at all tho.

Ink and paper could be really good. You get bleed stack from paper + 10% damage increase from paper if the enemy is inked + 15% damage increase from ink if the enemy is still bleeding + blinding effect from ink + scribed effect.

plus blinding effect. People have no idea how good blinding can be.

Ice/Wind
Ice/Water
Fire/Acid
Those are the ones that come to mind immediately cause they’ll probably be TOO good and have to be nerfed

Vetex, you have to answer this for me. Does burning give a damage boost to Magma?

Here’s an idea, Ash + Fire + Explosion, first burn them, then hit them with ash to instantly petrify them, then quickly hit them with explosion to deal 40% more damage. Or just do Ash + Explosion.

Fire + Acid for basically cloud magics but more annoying and harder to dodge the traps, with doubled-down DoT, and Fire + Explosion/Ash for that sweet sweet free petrify

Looks like these are the ones I’m going to try and avoid

Aw fuck, he’s nerfing Fire/Acid before Ash could be any good with it

Uhh, time for Ash/Fire/Magma (or Explosion)
