Permadeath can be a good mechanic
But it’s really hard to make a good permadeath
permadeath is good on survival games where you lose all your progress every time you leave anyway
not saying otherwise everyone’s gonna go there-

permadeath is good when its player versus npc only. As sson as you add Player versus Player things get real bad fast.

Ngl, with how vetex made the dark sea ranges bigger after knowing that it only takes 20 minutes to reach the farthest range, what are the chances of encountering a player along with the reduced effect of clearsight plus dense fog?

Man, the bronze sea will be dead as fuck with almost everyone in the server going to the dark seas 
It doesnt help that it’s a 14 player cap per server too
everyone with a brig that is. Its unlikely that a lot of new players will be visiting the dark sea and might just spend their time grinding for the brig.
Fair, there’s still people that haven’t saved up for brig after all
though the first range is able to get ketches and caravals.
Yeah but the 1st range has the lowest rewards of all ranges, so you’re better off building your brig than using ketches and below for the 1st range
true but you can start in the first range with a ketch or caraval.
