Which gods took which side in the War of the Gods?

What side do y’all think certain gods took during the War of the Gods?

Somethings to keep in mind when thinking of what gods would pick what side:

  • There are 3 sides in the war, Zeus’, Prometheus’, and Cursebeard’s
  • Zeus’ side wants humanity to have no control over magic
  • Prometheus’ side wants humanity to have some control over magic. That being the original 7 base magics. Their thoughts on humanity having losts and ancients isn’t really stated anywhere as far as I know, so it’s unknown if they were okay or not with humanity having those
  • Cursebeard’s side wants humanity to have access to the full potential of magic
  • Cursebeard befriended Poseidon and multiple other unspecified gods before joining the war
  • Cursebeard’s side joined the war very late, Prometheus was closing in on victory when they joined

Hades, although he didn’t participate in the war, is primarily motivated to do evil for the sake of destroying magic.

Hades wanted to test the limits of dark magic, not destroy it. I’d imagine if he did take a side in the war a Cursebeard victory was probably in his best interest for completing his goals.

Dionsyius or whatever that wine guy was probably was on Cursebeard’s team because he seems like the kind of guy to just not care and get crazy drunk lmao

Athena would probably be a daddy’s girl and side with zeus (plus she probably wouldn’t like the idea of humans going ham crazy with magic, not exactly wisdom like)

Ares likes war, and more magic = more war, so he would probably side with Cursebeard.

I could see that, I could also see him siding with his father. Kinda depends on how rebellious this version of Ares is.

Hope to see if anyone has any ideas for people siding with Prometheus. Problem is Cursebeard’s thing is basically the same as Prometheus’ just the more extreme and a lot of gods can be fit into extremes pretty easily. Maybe Hera? Cause Zeus always cheats on her so she has a reason to dislike him, but I can’t see her siding with Cursebeard either cause that’d probably be beneath her(at least the way she perceives it), wouldn’t be surprised if she finds Cursebeard and co to be barbaric and gross.

Counterargument: She would know that Prometheus would likely win the favor of other gods, and therefore sided with him.
You gotta remember that she’s also the goddess of strategy.

Also Apollo, Hera & Poseidon all attempted to overthrow Zeus with Athena’s help, so they’d likely side with him aswell.

I dunno, sure she might have the wisdom to know Prometheus had a better chance at winning, but she also would have the wisdom to know that humanity having magic might be more worse for the gods than better. Besides that the lore doc says the decision to give humans magic was pretty controversial among the gods so it was probably somewhat closer to an even split.

Poseidon sided with Cursebeard we know that for a fact. There was a guy on Cursebeard’s crew called Apollo, but I’ve seen both people saying he was the real Apollo and people saying he wasn’t the actual Apollo and just a guy who shared his name. I’m like 90% it’s the latter in which case I could really see him siding with either Prometheus or Zeus. I definitely agree with you on Hera though.
