Love at first sight is kinda boring. Friends to lovers is good. Enemies to lovers is the most interesting in my opinion though.
fuck the ro and ce in romance bc i just want me some man dawg
romance - ro and ce = man
???
wow its almost as if i said that in the post
i did not stutter, get me some MAN!
I didn’t know what you were trying to say
Have you considered:
Lovers to enemies but they’re actually still lovers.
love at first sight is the most unrealistic and also the most cliche
friends to lovers is probably the most realistic
but i still think enemies to lovers is the most fun
FUCK YOU
to
let’s fuck
I mean, I guess friends to lovers? Love at first sight is lame, and enemies to lovers is called a erotic fanfiction
idk i only like romance series if it has an unhealthy amount of drama to them
cough kuzu no honkai
Definitely enemies to lovers.
As someone who is aromantic I’ve never really knew the difference between friends and lovers aside from the “physical intimacy” part. As far as emotions are concerned I cannot differentiate the two from one another.
Love at first sight is pretty cliche and unrealistic, really just being a trope. Seems boring too. No need to study someone’s character to tell if you’re interested, no chit chatting or comfort to gain. Just you lay your eyes on them and think they’re your soul mate.
So that leaves enemies to lovers. This is primarily my favorite out of the three because it involves some growth. Obviously friends to lovers does as well but this is just more intense than that. It’s from opposing sides to affection to one another. It’s tense, flawed, realistic (to a degree).
My favorite example of this enemies to lovers trope would probably be Guts and Casca from Berserk. Not necessarily “enemies” though since they did fight on the same side and followed the same man but ultimately they opposed one another from the start. I’d go into detail but that’d just require too much typing.
I personally prefer romantic couples who weren’t written by someone who never had a healthy relationship before, or at least have a basic understanding of how relationships work.
Considering the existence of “Rental Girlfriend”, I am well aware I’m asking for too much
I suggest watching Horimiya. Not exactly thee most accurate but I mean there won’t be 2 seasons of build up for a kiss. Good anime though.
picking friends to lovers bc most of my beloved “enemies to lovers” pairings have an awkward friendship stage before lovers stage, plus i already have some beloved “friends to lovers” pairings
also i don’t like love at the first sight
also i like lovers/best friends to enemies
