Which one has better soundtrack, WoM or AO?

I think some of y’all should take into account, there are certain musics taken from WoM that are in AO (Examples: Silverhold being the Silent Tower, Shining plains being Bronze grassland)

Also this is overall, whether it’d be fighting, boss, or even the title menu

Lord Elius theme, nuff said

I guess that is good, AO has really good boss themes, but lacks in island themes, and the sea too (if there is it only plays once in comparison to the slow but constant theme of whispering forest)

i like a lot of songs in AO but WoM does it so much better atmospherically

AO lags behind WoM in terms of atmosphere in general

its always bugged me how AO just doesnt have a night sailing theme… I understand the music changing during night but please find one or get someone to make a night sailing theme

in terms of combat/boss music AO absolutely clears though, especially Lord Elius’ theme and the Atlantean combat theme (Captain Maria’s theme is also cool too bad her bossfight sucks :sob:)

I’d love to hear World of Magic’s threat theme somewhere again… i think itd make sense to play when a clan base is being raided (maybe it does already but i wouldnt know, if it doesnt it should be added…)

It doesn’t clear them all because it’s a boss theme, it does lack in ambience (but i mean it’s a boss theme what can you expect? relaxing while killing each other like it’s minecraft?)

yes, relaxing music while killing a boss

That is true, i also think that there are songs that don’t fit in some of AO’s islands.
For example, i don’t believe that Silverhold should use the Silent Tower’s song because it doesn’t reflect on what Silverhold is.

The Silent Tower is a massive tower that holds many lies and many paths, you never know where you are.

Silverhold on the other hand is just a simple fort that doesn’t serve the same purpose, its simple layout make it easy to run around with its many shortcuts.

Another example i can give is Munera Garden, its issue is that it’s using a fighting song for a quiet and peaceful island, now yes Munera Garden is an arena and whatsoever, but nonetheless, the fighting song should start when you are in combat.

Another issue i can also find is that many islands are lacking in themes, which does hurt me a lot for an exploration game, although i can understand since the game is going to be massive, but overtime mome songs should be added to islands, even if they aren’t part of the storyline (most themes for islands are there because you visit them in the storyline)

Dangit, u right bro

Tbh, I agree with all the statements here

BUT HOLY HELL HAVE Y’ALL HEARD THE DARK SEA THEME?

That is true but the issue is that it isn’t played in game :sob:

I don’t know if i should count non in game songs

True

I would still like to mention Fort Talos though

It feels both eerie and imposing

when youre under assault by the grand navy
insert notoriety rant

Yeah Fort Talos does have a matching song to the island

Magic council no difs Grand navy tbh
