If I asked you if you could determine how and why these fringe groups appear, could you give an answer? Do you have anything of worth to say about the group other than they’re stupid and bad (and by proxy that we, the audience which you associate yourself with are not)? Come on man.

I temper the mood of my comments based on how vile I think what I am responding to is and eugenicist talking points should be dealt with harshly, no matter how “jokingly” they are made.

Looking back, yeah, my points were made mostly because I was getting heated. And that looking at it again, “destroy repros” is pretty extreme. But now that we’re here, I’d like to offer actual arguments:

There are diseases and other factors which can genuinely ruin a person’s life if they’re unlucky enough to have been passed down. I frankly view it as more beneficial to not just society, but to the individuals of that society, that some people simply not pass down certain cases.

As for the cases of “stupidity”, yeah, I probably shouldn’t have said that. Especially seeing as it’s not really a measurable disease or condition like, say, Severe Down Syndrome. People will be people, and scare me as that may, I don’t have the right to determine someone’s ability to have offspring based on poor judgement.

As for your final point about violently opposing vile crap online: good. You’re right to do so. I appreciate you for pointing out the faults I made and calling me out for what I said. I’ll shut up now, as I have nothing further to add, and this topic’s probably going downhill.

I mean people can live fine with some birth defects (There was an Asian kid in my 5th grade class who had a birth defect involving his nose and throat and he would do some weird gut stuff with it and gross everyone out), you also could make the same argument for people who are born into poor environments that they shouldn’t reproduce because of it. But that doesn’t mean we should go full Enclave mode and kill all of them too right? This is why Eugenics and the gene pool stuff is goofy.
