- A villain who wants to take down corrupt soulless abusive billionaire corportations by killing the owners
- A villain who wants to destroy the reproductive systems of people with genetic defects to further humanity’s gene pool
- A villain who wants to protect the environment and does so by killing or causing severe bodily harm to people who frequently pollute places or to company owners that absolutely disrespect the environment
Okay so basically we have:
-cyberpunk ahh protagonist
-eugenics andy
-thatveganteacher if she was given too many substances
If I had the option I’d support both the cyberpunk dude and the vegan teacher because at least they have somewhat fair or valid reasons to be villains
idk what the heck that other guy is cooking though
Yes, I would support the person who would probably easily manage to kill the execs of the hundred or so companies responsible for the entire fucking climate crisis
i might write a story where some friends chose to be villains one day and they help each other accomplish their separate goals
personally i might support all 3 however i hope they would give a warning before killing them. i might not support the eugenics guy (me, my hypothetical character’s motive) because it’s not priority
All of them.
Now I know this is pretty rich coming from the guy who wanted to destroy the keraxians last evening but I think supporting the dude who’s literally just doing eugenics might not be the best person to support
wait i forgot this
- i support all
Nah. Humanity is stupid enough already. We have people denying the use of vaccines for their kids, fools doing the stupidest of things and being saved by modern medicine, and zealots spouting the most unfounded garbage and bringing the worst politicians to the stage.
I don’t think I or you or most of the forums needs to worry.
ok but
how is the idiocy of people mentally have anything tied to people with “inferior” genes
Mmm, good point. Most of aforementioned people would probably be clear of any diagnosable condition.
I should probably just shut up here and now and keep this a silly little thing rather than an actual discussion that’s inevitably going to go downhill.
I’m gonna be the funny minion that gets marketable plushies for the guy who wants to save the environment and I’m also gonna subscribe to the yt channel of the guy who raids megacorporations
though the eugenics man I’m just gonna uhh

Ideally none of them, they are all fundamentally misled. If you were to put a gun to my head it would have to be the third one, but I’d renounce them the instant you removed it from my head anyway.

There is no such thing as a soulless corporation, that’s just something capitalism apologists say. All corporations follow the logic of capitalism and are fueled by a force similar to the force of natural selection. Corporations that use child slavery exist because the market for it exists - most of the resources you have access to in the west came from exploitation from some country in the Global South (or of some poor minority group in whatever country you happen to reside in). This is the most effective and efficient way of making capital, and anyone who doesn’t exploit it will be outcompeted by someone who does. There are entire countries like France who would literally collapse if they stopped exploiting their many territories, and I say that without any hyperbole. America is the same but it has people it exploits within its walls so it might fare a little bit better.

The second is stupid eugenics, like even a toddler can see how little sense that makes with a little gentle encouragement. You’d be better off just giving people better access to healthcare or food or resources, if you’re talking about birth defects and stuff. Of course, most eugenicists actually go further than this and assert that human behavior can be improved through “culling the herd”, which is again just apologia for whatever exploitative system their country has. “Why stop moralizing neurotypicality (read: conformity) when you can just kill the stupids” or whatever. Really this person should be publicly hung but that’s just me.

The third is as the first in the sense that they don’t even bother to study why these things happen. It’s a little bit better than the first, though, in the sense that at least killing every single major company in the world in the oil-and-gas industry MIGHT stop environmental damage, but the problem is pervasive and multi-faceted. You would need to kill a LOT of people, and even then that doesn’t necessarily mean that the problem would stop (again, capital moves on its own, the person who is on top is irrelevant and can be replaced in most cases). Also, what about people that only fell palm trees because they’re impoverished? I guess they get the noose too? It’s infantile rubbish.

Funny cause I was speaking about eugenicists as though they were this far off clandestine group and yet there’s a prime example of this rubbish in this comment section. If I asked you if you could determine how and why these fringe groups appear, could you give an answer? Do you have anything of worth to say about the group other than they’re stupid and bad (and by proxy that we, the audience which you associate yourself with are not)? Come on man.
And before I get comments saying that I’m being “mean” or whatever, I temper the mood of my comments based on how vile I think what I am responding to is and eugenicist talking points should be dealt with harshly, no matter how “jokingly” they are made.
