Might just be me, but I sort of hate it when a game that hasn’t had its main content finished starts getting merchandise. I felt the same about Loomian Legacy getting plushies, although I’m not as annoyed about AO getting the same thing for some reason.
Maybe it’s how AO isn’t stuck in development hell.

yeah it’s a plush it’s probably gonna wind up looking a little cartoony that’s fine. it gives vetex some bucks and lines up possibilities for future merchandise i see no issue here
