saw it somewhere
might be outdated by now / not canon but ehhh
On that same day Tech was talking about how Torren was one of the unknowns so yeah its anyone’s guess if this is still canon or not
I believe that got retconned
also that’s like 5 years ago
but we can’t really be sure unless we ask tech or vetex
(on the outdated fanmade lore encyclopedia there’s an interview section with tech where he said that that wasn’t true and outdated, but take it with a grain of salt ig)(here’s the link btw Trello)(epik link fail ;-; )
just because the unknowns and torren got retconned doesn’t mean durandal being freedock’s also got the same treatment also idk why would he retcon that it’s just a weapon
I didn’t say it did…
man i’m not affirming you said it did get retconned i’m just saying it makes no sense why can’t you understand my sentences ?
Dude, this part here only makes sense to say if you actually thought I was saying unknowns and torren retconned = durandal retcon. So either you’re lying and you did think that, or you just said some pointless redundant stuff for literally no reason
i didn’t think of anything i just said it didn’t make sense bru
Then don’t add pointless stuff to your sentences like this, cause this just makes it sound like you thought I said Durandal was retconned
Legit would’ve gotten the point just fine if you hadn’t added this for no reason
alright bro
coolio
Meant to say this earlier, but its kinda odd to me how unimportant the grand fire curses end up being to the overall story despite being the strongest curses and what they were made for
I’ve got a more recent message going against this so we really have no idea who owned Durandal. It’s still possible Freedrock was in possession of Durandal at some point, but probably not originally his.
the lore goes deeper
Oh thats neat, wonder who did/does have Durandal then. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t answered until after AO is finished though in like one of those books Vetex wants to write
(You did a great job I’m just making very minor corrections and adding details)
The Golden Armada, the strongest naval fleet the Arcane Government had. The entire fleet combined is even stronger than the Solstice, a warship as big as the borealis shipwreck which could literally wipe large islands off of the map with its artillery and could sail as fast as a sailboat with help from wizards.
This is a tangent, but if I remember right, the Solstice had hundreds of cannons, gatling guns, and a mortar called “Ragnarok” as large as a frigate, capable of launching cannonballs into near-orbit. It was massively reinforced, with a metal hull and everything.
I have no idea if the Solstice is still canon or not, but if it is, that should give you a good idea of how big of a deal the Golden Armada was. And yet Morock singlehandedly wiped the whole fleet out. Heck, the Solstice was built specifically to make up for the power lost when the Golden Armada was sunk, and it still doesn’t quite make the cut. If Morock were still alive in the Solstice’s time, he would be able to sink it with a single attack, burning straight through its hull with a “mini-star” made from inferno, released as a huge beam.
Mhm. Her name is Valencia and her title was the Grand Admiral, similar to how the Grand Navy is led by the King Admiral.
He was caught off-guard while in a frenzy and fell into the sea when his boat split open, yeah. I’m honestly not sure how something like that caught him off-guard though, it’s pretty obvious that a Shockwave Curse user and Promethean Fire Curse user fighting on one wooden Frigate isn’t going to go well for the ship.
I’ve heard so many rumors of where it might be that I’m not sure what I personally believe. I’m sure some of them originated from Tech and Vetex, but others might not have, or they could have been slightly altered. I’ve heard that it could be orbiting the moon, directly on the moon, or somewhere else in space.
There’s a panel in the AA comic where the Promethean Fire Curse’s silhouette is shown overlapping the moon, as to imply that that’s where the curse is, and the AA comic gets its info from Tech, so it’s most likely that the Promethean Fire Curse is near the moon, yes.
From what I know, Angel is only canon to the webcomic, where she plays the role of the deuteragonist in the Third Sea onward. Angel was an idea for a possible boss for the Third Sea, but AA broke before that could come to fruition, and she’s no longer considered canon due to that. I’m not sure about all this though, so take what I say with a grain of salt too.
What I am pretty positive about is that Fulvus isn’t canon. Arcane Reborn made up most of the One Shot Divisional Commanders. Poseidon, Apollo, Arsen, Ernest, and the deceased Triton are the only commanders we can be mostly sure are canon since they were on one of Vetex’s old trello boards. The rest are fanmade, Tech didn’t even know about some of them when I first asked. I think even the lore for the canon commanders has been retconned a few times over the years, though.
Apparently, Tech told the Arcane Reborn team that Apollo was just a really powerful human named Apollo, but Tech told me that Divisional Commander Apollo was the god himself, and that’s what the webcomic artist seems to be going by as well. I think the current lore is that Apollo the god truly is in the One Shot Pirates, though. It would be lame if he was just a human named after the guy.
Also, on Vetex’s old trello board I mentioned, Ernest was said to be the Acid Curse user, but in the webcomic, he only has Acid Magic. I’m not sure which it really is.
I might be dumb but isnt the solstice purely aa webcomic
I’ve talked about it with Tech multiple times before and he never said it wasn’t canon, so I think it was a real thing, at least at some point. That was a little over 2 years ago though, so who knows how the lore may have changed. Maybe Tech and Vetex decided that the Arcane Government shouldn’t be so high-tech.
I wish it was canon that thing is awesome, if you have kept up to date with the webcomic the new version is even cooler
I just finished reading the latest episode. What a coincidence that the webcomic showcases Commander Ernest and the Solstice right as I’m talking about them, lol.
