ae i think everyone who say “but its cloud! it couldnt possibly damage us!” forget that wind and water exist
Vetex already said that magic hurts because of the magic energy in the spell reacting with the magic energy inside of us, not purely because of the magic’s element
I just hope our character gets a moment where we show off our raw potential and strength. Let’s say we do fight a cloud curse user, but because it’s a curse user we’ll obviously be struggling against them. We’re pushed, and are on the verge of death, and then we awaken. Following that Vetex could has us defeat the Cloud Curse user and then completely decimate any fodder they brought with them.
Idk though, story seems to be already planned and I’m listening to the Atlantean Ost. So as I typed this I’m imagining our character being pushed to the brink, awakening, getting up and winning; only to turn around and do this to the fodder:
Before going on a rampage, but not necessarily of their free will (entirely anyways) since they just came back from the brink.
maybe the ability to left behind cloud to obscure vision, not OP but can be useful ( something something its made of magic so cant be seen through even by using sensing… dunno about revealing tho )
(constantly re-applies itself every hit for consistent damage, I have a poison conjurer file and tested it out, though, I dunno really how good poison conj really is so I haven’t used it that extensively)
Yeah but let’s just have the cloud curse boost someone to level 500 player, and invest a hypothetical 800 vit points.
So now they have 20 + (1 x (level-1)) which is 519 power and 10k HP just viewing them as a player. They don’t gotta worry about being x build either since they just have the power of a curse which would arguably be more potent than the magic itself anyways.
This is from the player perspective, from an NPC perspective they can easily have 10k HP and do 600 damage per blast the size of at least a sailboat or small house (probably a lowball too).
most curse users do a ton of damage, Calvus was probably running some high size rare spells or something, or just not overly skilled with his aether magic since he is a stupid savant.
