yeah see ao just feels more impressive, not to mention said final boss was fought after months of starvation and working till exhaustion
as opposed to aa dude who got launched up to an island where the people there were like “yo dawg can you help us this guy is insane” and he just went “k”
who’s stronger, verdies or calvus
id say calvus overall cuz hes got a stronger magic plus curse inheritance, plus more versatility even if said versatility was what made him lose in the first place
shouldve said the chad response of “verdies has 3000 hp and calvus has 4500, calvus is stronger”
there is that, plus verdies LITERALLY doesnt move, calvus bombards him with his attacks anyway
verdie’s strongest attack is 410 damage with 45 dot, calvus’s strongest attack is 500 damage 3 times
ok but in a scenario where verdies can actually move i think he’d cancel calvus’ 500 attack everytime he tries casting it and would heal up with his pots
hes still got no speed feats and calvus can teleport
calvus has dodge reflex
what if verdies bombards everything with his spirit bomb
in the time it takes to charge that calvus will release his 500! 500! 500!
besides 410 damage vs 1500 damage is pretty severe of a difference
calvus tanks it (or dodges it considering the peacekeeper is also able to)
funnily enough i think verdies is the closest matchup to calvus from aa but it still isnt very close imo
no but it’s kind of fitting
given how we… pretty much are the entire cause of the keraxe/sameria war
(we killed Calvus, which led to that)
its fitting AND its cool so i dont see why not
besides then i would have a better abbreviation besides “aomc”
we could have “wb” and “pk” and not “aomc” and “pk”
Problem arises when anyone who isn’t an active forumer sees “wb” and doesn’t know who were talking about

I dunno if it’s fair to use any numbers here since we don’t know if those translate exactly between AA and AO, but I do agree Calvus is definitely stronger. While there is the possibility for exception where Verdies is just a skilled enough of a mage to beat Calvus in all likelihood the sheer power difference of a lost magic and curse inheritance compared to just a lesser lost is enough for Calvus to win. Especially since like Ellis here has said Verdies just doesn’t have any feats that would suggest he’s a good enough fighter to overcome the power gap.
Don’t know why I typed all that out given that we’re on the same side
besides verdies was distraught at the time of the fight and calvus was in his right mind
