why are curses called curses if theygive you a godly amount of power?

  • Can’t swim again (at least not in AA and AO)
  • Live forever, better pick up a hobby.
  • No one can match your power so fighting becomes boring
  • can make you insane, not the case with everyone but look at rupin

because it stays with you forever and makes you into a threatening being. any non power-hungry pirate would not want a so-called curse.

Rupin became insane with the power he got from the curse, not from the curse itself, so yea

there really is no downside unless you really like swimming.
even then, in that case wait a thousand years or so for the whole magic pollution thing to calm down.

They could basically just form a posse and never be bored.

You can’t swim anymore in a world filled with pirates. Do you know how horrible that is? You are at risk each time you go out at sea(although from what I hear curse users are immortal)

And also, you will slowly lose your sanity, and you might go crazy and kill everyone you love(just a small chance :smiley: )

Most curse users are power hungry, they’d either kill each other, break apart, or establish a boss(can’t imagine it though)

despite a lot of power there’s also the fact it can make you crazy and you can never enjoy a bath again.
