Why are like half the Warlord imbues just genuinely worse than the closest magic counterpart?

Is there something I’m missing? Surely there’s no way that they just left Warlord as worse conjuror

To be clear, this isn’t the magic or Fighting Style’s stats, it’s how a weapon’s stats change when you imbue this magic/FStyle on to it.

According to gear builder Thermo actually changes damage to 0.93x if you factor in the full DOT, but that’s still a marginal improvement considering Light: does 0.9x without needing to rely on a DOT and has better size

Unlike the others, Sailor Fist actually beats the Water imbue, being exactly the same but it doesn’t reduce your damage.

Not putting cannon fist here because idk how its imbues work

To come up with an explanation, it may be because Strength Weapons even it out.

They’re on the power degree of Warrior weapons, but you can add imbuement, unlike warriors.

I guess we’d better nerf conjuror when arcanium weapons come out, just for parity…

Oh yeah also to answer this it’s because the affinities for stats on fs are calculated differently than on magic, hence why thermo despite having like half the stats of light is still on par in terms of actual gameplay

Jokes aside, balance changes (especially those done in v1.13) are responsible for this, and the balance team feels as though fighting style imbued weapons shouldn’t be as efficient as their magical counterparts.

they still have PTSD from the warlords

heres how i see it:

mage imbues are strong because it helps catch the weapons (which are mostly rushdown imo) up with the godlike zoning that magic has

fs imbues dont need this as much, as they are also rushdown and can work very nicely with weapons already, so the stats arent as strong.
