Two days in a row i’ve been trying to get my hands on 15 of them but i can’t literally find some. And I don’t need some bs like “the market is open”, 15 notebooks apparently cost 89k . The chests and merchant ships are just rng inconvenience for you to waste time . Can the devs at least add them in the shipwright shop? Like wtf?
Who in the actual hell is charging 6000 per notebook? Find that person and hang them! As for where you can get them, in the past merchant NPCs on ships could sell them but not anymore I don’t think so I think you’re kind of just SoL.

They honestly should just make it so that you can buy notebooks at some shop NPC like the Shipwright. I find it crazy how their value is so highly inflated despite the fact that their usage is on par with other tools you can easily buy like Repair Hammers.

Making a new file also makes it easier to find in chests due to low levels limiting options for loot.
Step 1: Merchant Deckhands
literally just get a merchant deckhand to the highest profession level, it isn’t any difficult now since the Proxys and Brotherhood sell pearls and the Samerian caravan is still there.
Step 2: Fast Rerolling
Instead of leaving to the main menu to reroll your merchant deckhand’s goods (literally sol’s RNG. ), teleport to another player.
This is much faster and allows you to remain connected to servers best for your internet and interests.
Step 3: Fast Restocking
The 15-20 minutes of wait to purchase items again from a merchant is annoying, but you can bypass it in several ways. Here they are:
- Redocking every 5 minutes
- Death (2 minutes despawn)
- Death in the Dark Sea (instant despawn, but has some travel time)
