While I do think the of the capitalization of the lgbtq movement / community is annoying I feel like people over react to it too much. I genuinely hate the word woke so much not in the conservative way but in the stop complaining about shit being diverse way

Right right I can see why this method of thinking and mentality is very divisive and I thank you for pointing that out. I do agree my views basically only increases political polarization and partisanship, and I do agree that my views should be adjusted, and I do know that I shouldn’t scapegoat people that I disagree with.
However when I wrote this I had a pretty heated argument with a progressive classmate of mine and I wanted to pin the blame on that. I understand that it’s wrong to blame an entire group of people as a whole, but I still believe in somethings in my statement (such as woke culture going too far).
I’m still very much a conservative (or at least I believe and self-identify as one, though that probably isn’t the best course of action), but I thank you for pointing out the potential errors of my ways.
In the end, I do respect everyone regardless of political ideology and beliefs.

I’m not those political people that just outright rejects an idea or belief if it doesn’t align with them. I’m quite open (I believe I am anyways) to listen to ideas and beliefs even if they completely contrast mine.
This, I believe, is a core value in which not just politicians and politcal fanatics should understand and emulate, but everyone else as well.
