Why are sprite sheets/flipbooks not used by Vetex?

DISCLAIMER: This question might be nonexistent, it could just me not noticing the use of flipbooks, and I think that the graphics in AO are already amazing. Also, I would post under the suggestions category, but I don’t have a large enough trust level.

While playing AO, I noticed that pretty much every particle effect does not use spritesheets.
In case you don’t know what spritesheets are, they are collections of images that allow a particle/sprite (such as a lightning bolt from lightning, or a gas particle from poison) to be animated, so each particle is like a little gif. They can look amazing when used right, and so im just wondering why they are not.

In case you didn’t understand my bad explanation of using spritesheets, here is a (hopefully) better comparison. Fire magic, and similar magics, are visually made up of particle effects. Currently, each particle is “static”. The image does not change, instead vetex just edits the particle settings to make it grow, shrink, or change in color. Spritesheets, however, would allow for these particles to be animated. Each image used in the particle would warp and twist depending on how vetex animated it, similar to real fire.
Two videos showcasing the use of flipbooks/spritesheets:
1.Flipbook Flame Particles | Roblox VFX - YouTube
2. I Made 40+ Particle Flipbooks So You Don’t Have To [ROBLOX] - YouTube

Once again, this could just be me being blind. There may be spritesheets used, and I possibly just didnt notice.

That makes sense, maybe they will be used for future lost/ancient magics then?

Worth

there was discussion to revamp them again at a later date awhile back if memory serves right

i vaguely recall vetex saying that he didn’t completely like the revamped magic visuals but given the fact he was pushing out early access whenever he could it would be done at a later date.

also 100k is a tad wild for sprites, and i think 1k is the amount i’ve spent on the platform from my whole entire time i’ve been on here since 2016 ;-;

CAD to USD btw

granted its fair game on price setting, no idea on the amount of work needed to be put in, paired w/ people need to make a living somehow, on top of it being an audience for developers so its aight.

but rip to any early developer in this specific area tho ig oof
