New potion types are hype, but one problem I’ve noticed is that the grease and physick types can only be made with reagents that give negative effects (ex: corroding, blindness, etc). Why can’t I make healing grease that I would apply on my katana to further reduce damage or water breathing physick to reduce the duration of thrown water breathing pots by other players? It seems like I can create infused daggers with any status effect including positive ones so why can’t this same logic apply to grease and physick pots?
(also what do you think the catalyst for physick pots are, since they’re considered a remedy which explains why they reduce the effects of negative status effects)
something something intended purpose, like physick is MEANT to be only positive, so it affects negative afflictions and not something like water breathing. Not sure about the grease though, but I suppose that they want to limit those kinds of potion setups
it doesn’t make sense to limit these potion setups since they’re meant to be entirely customizable. i can make a corroding elixir which only harms myself but I can’t make clearsight grease that gives a buff to the enemy? why can i give clearsight to enemies using gel but not grease?
well grease is meant to be like a permanent gel only affecting melee weapons and reducing their damage output so i feel like grease and physick pots should be made with all t2 reagents, just saying
Ok but if negative effects have a duration that can be resisted by the corresponding physick pot, why not also apply that logic to positive effects? It would be counterintuitive yeah but that’s why potions are customizable.
