Literally, most warriors are awful and are hard carried by their aoe and damage (remind you of a certain pre-1.12 build?), and they seem to self destruct whenever I fight them, since I can actually dodge.
Why is it that there’s always a build that’s used by skill issues?
This applies to alot of warlords and berserkers too, mainly with iron leg. I imagine alot of aoe carried mages just switched to another class after the nerf and fit it to their playstyle, so this isnt really build specific.
In terms of actual reason? Most warriors were either:
Used to the TP spam meta(probably ran sabre+scimitars+triasta or ravenna greatsword)
Probably went full tank for maximum braindead
So, technically, the TP spam removal should have NERFED warriors, but instead it introduced a brand new problem: Vindicator. Like almost every other self explosion-type weapon in game, it is unpunishable and very easy to land.
I guarantee you, ask any warrior with under 400 PK or a gen 4/5 to fight you without Vindicator, they’ll probably lose(ravenna greatswords AOE got nerfed, but it’s still unpunishable although it’s easier to fight against compared to vindicator)
I disagree tbh. When your fighting someone at the lower skill level yea, but it is SO easy to punish or at least block, more so than even claws. I see it as a free win most of the time when my opp uses it too much.
I mean it can be annoying to punish not because of it being difficult per say but because of the fact that it deletes projectiles long after the hitbox is gone
but like, why do weapons no matter what ALWAYS win EVERY clash
It is weird how strong weapon clashes are, but what makes vindicator so easy to punish is the endlag, but how well you can punish prob depends on what class you’re used to.
As a warrior, i find it really easy to hard punish with my usual (vindicator-less) weapon set, but i imagine it would be hard as say a berserker, or even easier for a mage.
i’m just gonna say thay i have no idea what i’m doing when i’m trying to actually use the weapons on my conjurer
magic already covers range, so scimitar and sabre have teleports as their only use (which is still good, but wtf am i supposed to do after using it? spam moves and get nuked?)
rapier is good for getting close and inflicting bleed but i suck at grabs
greatsword tempest is shining cycle but longer everything, mountain wind is an ok shotgun i guess
staves are blast for weapons
i haven’t used hammers/axes much
