I was on my 10th island here for the hecate essence, I spotted it right at the LAST second so I couldn’t claim it… I’m too broke for the gamepass dude…
is it possible for me to like… talk to admins or whatever for one?

I highly doubt it. Although I do think that some things should warrant compensation. For example, there’s a bug (I think they patched it) where you get stuck in cutscenes. I got hit by that bug with a legendary treasure chart. I couldn’t do anything other than leave. Going forward, I would appreciate it if they would save things like treasure charts for shutdowns specifically, but I would understand if they didn’t seeing as that could easily end up breaking things, especially with sea charts.
I’d be devastated if I lost a “lost” treasure chart because of a shutdown…
Testing from that one legendary quest that you get from the seafarer talent quests though, it seems possible that they could implement some kind of prevention, maybe the trigger of chart loss could be with death (no idea how they’d seperate a shutdown from a player leaving)

I’ll play devil’s advocate, you should have looked at the server up time in the menu, if it’s ;like 1 day and 10 hours don’t bother
