Like the devs spent time and money and time on sound design why do you turn it off

I used to play simulators alot and there is no reason to have sound on when I am watching a youtube video or listening to music so now it’s a habit
who gives a shit if they spent a lot of time and resources on it, if it’s not good I ain’t listening to it, but I mainly turn off the sound of games if either A) I wanna listen to some music or B) I’m grinding

It really depends on the game but some devs are just spending their time in the wrong way
a quiet game is just to quiet for people to play
a loud game is just to loud for people to play
a game with volume settings is for people to play

a lot of games i play really require me to listen to my surroundings so turning sound off is handicapping me
turning sound off in aa/wom/ao is a horrible idea as well unless i’m just there to fish

I turn off sound so I can listen to my own music I’ll be sure to like, but if it’s late or I’m a bit tired I like to listen to asmr videos just to get me relaxed.
there should be a “sometimes” option since i sometimes have spotify on

Depends on the game but generally speaking I turn it off since I typically listen to music or youtube in the background.
Now if I’m playing a competitive game where sound is important then I’ll keep it on.

unless its undertale because that music fucking slaps
even if i listen to music over the game (which is pretty rare to begin with) i always have sound on, and even when i listen to music i usually have sound effects on but in game music turned down in return
So? If devs spend time and money on a colorblind mode or a dyslexia mode I’m not going to use it.
So I can watch YouTube at the same time.
I turn off music sometimes but the sound effects always make stuff feel better

i keep sfx on whatever it was before, if it was in max ill just make it somewhat lower

i like listening to my own music when i play games. just more confortable for me
also, if im being honest, the wom battle theme stresses my poor baby heart out when im pvping so yeah

i do play a lot of not-roblox games with sound, its just roblox games that i usually have my playlist on for
