its harder then it looks.
There are times where I drink a little bit of soup with a fork
Drink from a cup with a straw while you’re in a moving vehicle and thank me later.
Also straws are ridiculously optimal for young children.
It’s hard to when moving quickly/ in a vehicle
have you never drank from a fucking straw to know why they exist
Who hasn’t used a straw once? It’s more about them kinda being like a side character with no name in naruto
it’s a small luxury used to make your drink a bit more pleasant, it’s just the idiots who litter that make it a problem but there’s already far too many of plastic straws to suddenly just get rid of them but the shift to paper is getting there
Using a straw was all fun n’ cool as a child, but cmon do you really have nothing more entertaining or literally anything else to do than needlessly use a straw when you can drink your water or whatever you’re drinking perfectly fine.
The only exceptions I can make is disabled people, and maaaaaaaaaaaybe if it’s an extremely rough road and you want to drink something, but you could just wait for 9 seconds but I guess that’s too much time to ask for.
you don’t use a straw to entertain yourself, you use it cause it’s less distracting on your drink, maybe if you’re talking with a friend you can focus on them better which is why they’re most commonly seen at public attractions like starbucks
again, they’re a small luxury, but maybe not one deserved by some people
no one’s gonna stop their vehicle and pull on the side of the street or highway to take a sip off of their drink
I didn’t know lifting up a glass of water for 3 4 seconds is that distracting, a small luxury? Sure I suppose but it’s still pretty pointless in most situations.
For the road to steady and/or the turn to end. Stopping your car to drink something is absurd

mostly nobody uses these except for cold drinks; it’s mostly for “oral health” or smth
I’ve used paper straws.
They’re actually just… Terrible… Maybe a design change will help, but god no rn
As an avid straw hater, can confirm this is absolutely factual and all true with 0 bias involved.
I get the metal straw idea but did the inventors of the paper straw know how paper + liquid works?
Imagine dying to your own straw while sipping on a drink
Didn’t this actually happen though? I think I’d seen either an artice or a video that included a situation like that
the what
It’s paper +beeswax
