I remember randomly hearing that some people don’t want to fix themselves, such as an armless person getting arms.
Note that this doesn’t apply to those who became disabled via injury or illness, only to those born with it.
Aside from disability benefits (ex: discount), what other reasons? I personally don’t understand at all.
I’m thinking about the fact that no sane person who’s magicless in the AO verse would deny magic if they could somehow get it with absolutely no consequences.
If you are missing literal limbs you will NEVER be the same no matter how much you try, only adapt with stuff such as prosthetics. People who are severely damaged in the brain can’t simply recover even if they tried. Some people with unimaginable trauma could just never be the same even if they did everything to improve. Stuff like this makes me thing this is bait because it really feels like he’s saying “why don’t people who can’t walk just get up smh”
I mean, you can’t really adapt to the ability to use limbs, if you were born without limbs.
im pretty sure bro is asking “why do some people who were born being inable to walk, not want to walk?”
the question he asks does specifically ask for a person born with these problems, not ones who got it through something, whereas you seem to be talking about people who obtained these problems.
