Because the studio ID is different from the catalogue ID, this isn’t even an AO thing this is just how roblox is designed for some reason
like pretty much every custom picture system in roblox, it uses Images and not Decals. what you see in the creator marketplace thing is only decals, so you need to get the image of that decal instead. the image is always generated first, hence subtracting, but there’s plenty of other methods
You don’t need to substract anything if it’s a decal you’ve uploaded as its image id will be available in your library.
As for why AO uses images instead of decals, it’s because decals would need to be made public to work in a game that isn’t your own.

Thank you SO SO MUCH, you really helped me with the clan ‘cause wow the ID for the image and the decal were vastly different
