sadly, stocksounds hasn’t developed object permanence yet, so if the magic circle is behind the boat walls it doesn’t exist

I was looking for a circle around Captain Maria, because she’s the one actually doing the invincibility spell thing.
either you need to go get glasses or the circles werent loading because i can assure you there are
did you check the water where the tentacles were actually coming from
I mean it 100% looked like it should have been an aura-y spell, which would go around her.
The tentacles even aim towards where she is every time.
nope all the tentacle attacks are summoned via magic circles in the ocean
this is common sense why even make posts like this when the answer is obvious, forums has like no interesting topics now because everything people post is stuff like this 
To be fair,
- You can’t see them once the deck shatters
- Players can’t cast magic circles outside of their sight (making this answer counter-intuitive)
So while it obviously is water magic tentacles, one could still ask themselves this question within reason alongside a few other questions.
