Why does no one want to offer for my SSS?

That seems like overpay in current market. Instead of trading rn maybe you should wait for increase in value after buff or after more skills are added

Nah, I’d call my trade a W.

Especially compared to some people who offer an entire set or two, but i would still consider waiting since it will exponentially rise in value

Alr, ty.

You must be stuck in WoM where the SSS was actually extremely valuable or sum

As nuclear said it’d be wise to specify what items you want, judging from what you said I assume you’re trying to flip it for more value at times is not very easy

???

What are you confused abt?

ain’t no way will a sunken sword “exponentially rise in value”
you’re talking about an obtainable weapon with more alternatives and ways to get it in the future

because nobody can really afford it

  1. Getting enough value to get a sunken sword without wasting your time fishing for HOURS is almost impossible.
  2. Most players have rare items and boss drops, but people that have sunkens only want other sunkens or seasonals.
  3. Since to get sunkens you need seasonals, people with seasonals will ask for overpay or won’t trade for boss drops.

So it’s like the sunkens are being gatekept, and to get a sunken you have to fish, but to fish you have to spend weeks fishing(which is a waste of time, you could spend that time grinding or PVPing)

Strong Sunken Sword is literally the most sought for item ingame.
A clean sunken sword is worth less than a strong one.

Yes, most people will have to spend almost their ENTIRE inventory to get even a sunken chest or boots.

A lot of people figure it’s not worth it, after all, the sword isn’t that powerful anyway.

Bros stuck in wom :sob:
Sunken sword is literally the worst weapon in the game, nobody wants one to use it

as time goes on it will have more skills just as every weapon will, thus the exponential part. but thats not the main reason i think that he should hold on to it, the main reason is that i think seasonals will drop in value by a wide margin, and assuming that does happen then the item will rise in value enough for it to be the most valuable by such a degree as the headless is right now (although maybe not to that extent.)

One of the most obscene statements I’ve heard yet, it is probable that the sunken sword would get a minimal or okay value boost when it gets more skills yes, however “exponentially” is absurdly inaccurate; if anything quite the contrary will happen over time as more sunken swords are caught and more weapons start outclassing it.

What is this backwards logic you have bro. There’s no news so far about the old seasonals, so if they stay as is it’s very unlikely they drop in value, especially by a “wide margin”…

I should clarify. First by exponential i mean a growing increase per the definition, how much of an increase i dont claim to know.

As for the value of seasonals, it appears that you misunderstood my message (i dont blame you i may not be very clear), what i was refering to is a hypothetical which is that 1: the increase in the overall number of seasonals will decrease the value of the old ones and 2: that some of the old seasonals will come back which will majorly devalue them.

I want to reiterate that i see this as purely hypothetical, you are right that if neither of these things happen they would only increase in value. I also dont claim to know the probability of either of these events.

I really can’t agree, you’re just basing this off of pure theorizing, there’s no basis.

Whilst I have no problem with people theorizing, you make it out to seem as factual and convince other people when you have no basis

As far as I can tell most people don’t seem to care much for the eggs and only seem to care about the valkyire, there’s also the fact that the halloween and july seasonals look good/better to most people and Imo eggs kinda look wack, I assume I’m not the only one with this view but even if I am I really do not think the new seasonals will affect the value of the old ones

It’s been confirmed otherwise so far. No news of them coming back sadly

Then please clarify when you say your hypotheticals as advice to other people yes

It did seem like i was being clear when i initially wrote it, and again yes it is theorizing as i said, but not completely without basis. The whole community seems to have the position that they are overvalued at the moment, and this may or may not bring change.

I would argue that the idea that the current system and values will stay the same is equally without basis, and equally pure theorizing.

As for the eggs and such, i completely agree that they are ugly, and will at most have a minor affect on the value of seasonals.

If you could actually say the item instead of using ambigous pronouns it would make it much easier for me to know what you’re talking about

Not really? I wouldn’t even say this applies to the discord marketplace either. On the forum values are based off of what trades get accepted and declined and how frequently in the #marketplace, along with observations in-game to see the general playerbase’s view, so no it’s not baseless

^ New items (and old items too) can have a rough estimated value by looking at the demand and stock aswell so I can’t agree at all that it’s baseless

Im not being ambiguous because what i am saying applies to every item with the seasonal rarity, and whether changes are equally distributed is a detail of an already unknown future so i see no point in trying to guess.

I’m sure you would agree that the trades which get accepted and declined will change over time, or at the very least its speculation as to whether they do or dont. Current values are not baseless, but to say that current values will stay the same is speculative to the same degree saying they will change is.

I didn’t even know you were talking about seasonals I didn’t know whether you were mentioning sunkens or them that’s why. And yea the regular seasonals (all seasonals except headless) definitely way too overpriced, hopefully something is done to reduce their price but I imagine not unfortunately

Kind of, it would only change from 1 level of item to another ex: boss drops for sunkens, but it doesn’t change too drastically if it’s the same class of item ex: sunken for sunken, but of course yes they always do change slightly. You really just put words into my mouth, I never said they will never change
