sure he has alien powers, but he literally looks, talks, acts, and appears exactly as a human.
it isn’t even any super spoopy alien “cloaking” technology either, every single kryptonian also happens to look exactly like a human (coincidentally).
heck, not even that, even his dog is from krypton and has kryptonian powers, but also somehow looks/acts/sounds/speaks/eats exactly like a normal dog from Earth.
i get it’s fiction and so doesn’t have to make sense, but i really just want to know if there’s an in-universe explanation, because my brain is gauranteed to explode.
When krypton was dying, his father specifically gave his escape pod coordinates to a planet that had the most physically compatible beings so that superman would fit in as well as possible.
Also the origin of all life in DC began on earth (I believe) and the entity that embodies life is also housed on watch, so that can explain why there are so many human-like creatures in the galaxy (see Entity)

At this point most aliens and fantasy races anger me on a personal/creative level. I like seeing wacky aliens that are logically concievable but that is also just my two cents on this.
To answer the question his name came before the rest. He’s a super man. Rest was thought up later.
