Why does the Wiki say that Mount Olympus and The Azura Province capital island is the "Aegean Sea"

I thought Mt. Olympus was destroyed when King Aurthur invaded it, or it was blown up after Theos’ and Acheron’s big blast, and its ruins were scattered all around the War Seas. And I have no idea why the Azura capital should be in this sea. Did Vetex ever say this was the case, or is it just the Wiki being goofy again.

It may have come from the QnA video, which is the first place the name Aegean Sea (placeholder name) is mentioned.

Unfortunately I don’t have a timestamp for when it takes place

Timestamps are in the comment section I think

I dont think it does, but I do hear someone saying “Azure Sea.” Thats still not going to make me believe that Azura is in the Aegean Sea because it was probably a mumble

And what about Mount Olympus?

mount olympus is still “whole,” it just seems to be in ruins at the bottom of the sea. it was probably left in ruins after the fall of the pantheon and then sunk to the ocean when the earth was fractured

why do so many people think it’s in the Aegean Sea

aegan is a shade of blue and azure is also a shade of blue

it fits naturally and ao’s naming schemes are this literal for other seas’ strongest kingdoms (ravenna exports bronze hence bronze sea, skyhall is in the clouds hence nimbus sea)

it’s most likely just speculation based on mount olympus’ real life location:

nothing’s been confirmed that I’m aware of though, not even the name aegean sea is set in stone

The idea IS that Mount Olympus is a location, but it’s in the Aegean Sea.
The character that talks about it at Palo Town doesn’t specify where, but it is in a place in the War Seas based on what he said.

As for the Aegean Sea, I’m not sure.

I’d certainly like for the Azura Province to be there.
I had assumed it was because they’re Greek themed, but apparently that’s not confirmed either.

aegean was probably named after the Greek Aegean Sea, not some shade of blue

the lore doc and other things in the game say that the War Sea are located on the ruins of Olympus, it doesn’t ever say that they’re located underwater in fourth sea

daisy cirro says that it’s located underwater in ruins. considering no other statement ingame or in the lore doc (that I’m aware of) on mount olympus mentions anything else on its location beyond being in the war seas, it’s the best we’ve got.

it being located in the fourth/aegean sea may or may not be true, that’s just speculation

So far, it seems like there’s two kingdoms per sea. Ravenna and Winterveil, Sameria and Skyhall, Keraxe and (probably) Thorne, Corsairs and Navy. I’m gonna guess that Ryujin Dynasty is in the Aegean Sea with Azura.

I know it’s only loosely related, but I’m not making a topic about this footnote.

At 40:20 Vetex says “The Aegean sea? Isn’t that the placeholder, Aegean?” And tech says “Yeah that’s right, the Aegean sea”

I definitely don’t think the wiki should be as speculation-heavy as it currently is though. It has far too much headcanon and unconfirmed info for a place that is supposed to serve as a reliable tool.

What does Japan have to do with Greece and the Colour Blue (aka what yall are convinced the Aegean sea will be about)

What’s it gotta do with blue? That’s just Warren’s outfit because he has Inferno.
What does Rome have to do with whatever Winterveil was? What does Sky Wizards have to do with Egyptians?
Navy + Corsairs makes sense though.

ok well thats a fair point

I still think that the Wiki is kinda stupid about somethings like stuff that isn’t even in the game yet

Well I’m boutta pull a fast one on ya!

I’m just doing my duty, the rest of them get added.
Don’t ask me who decided to write a full-on page for Tidecliff.
