Most forum people agree on a certain set of values rather than the absolute chaos discord’s marketplace is

The people on the discord’s marketplace tend to be way ruder than the forum people
Fully agree
I used to think I was missing out on a lot when I learned that there was a marketplace channel on discord, however when I joined on my alt to appeal for my main acc I realized I wasn’t missing out on anything, trades there are so shitty
valid points. there’s the occasional steal, though chances are that someone already beat ya to it. and 30-50 galleons per sky pumpkin? are they INSANE?
the only good thing about it is that there’s always a buyer or two for my boosting service, assuming it didn’t get text-walled away
It’s not even a question. You see, forums is like a community. Like a YMCA summer camp, you’re bound to have a few conversations with everyone, and maybe even make a few friends.
But Discord, it’s like a huge supermarket. Crowded, noisy, people just wanna buy their stuff and get out.
When I say this, I mean it’s easier to talk, make friends, find cool people, learn about the communities history, ask questions, etc
Yeah, while it’s harder to start a casual conversation without flooding a topic or having to make a topic yourself, the AO Forums feels really chill, like a dormitory full of chill people, whereas the Vetex Discord feels like a sweaty college campus with so many people talking in sync (this is coming from a Discord user). So AO Forums > Vetex Discord.
