Why is berserker considered worse than warlock? And how could this issue be fixed?
Besides the obvious fact that warlocks have blatantly better synergies
because all they have over warlock is a second fstyle, blast knockoff, and ult art crash
Warlock has more variety and does better at most stuff, Berserker isn’t bad but it’s inferior
Warlocks are basically berserkers but with much better synergies and reliable ranged tools, as opposed to having just axe-slash and shot atm.
warlock’s ranged tools are:
- Blasts
- Placed explosions
- Beams
- Shot
- Axe-slash, eventually
- Pulsar, eventually
To be honest i feel the same but as a conjure i feel warrior is better than conjure
Berserkers don’t have a moveset as wide as Warlocks.
Warlocks have better range attacks, blasts, beams and explosions meaning they can stay safe from a distance. This means that berserkers have to close the space to deal damage, which leaves them open to punishment. The worst thing about berserkers is their range and area denial.
They could fix it by increasing the range and power of shot, but I’m not a dev so I don’t know if that’s a good thing.
Warlock has more possible combinations that suit players better, Berserker has arguably 3 Fighting styles to run for the first slot and about 4 to run for the second

Berserkers aren’t bad. They can be incredibly tanky and fast, but the problem with them is they get out-ranged and outsped by most classes unless they build and play a specific way.
Fighting Styles on their own can’t really cut it. Mages are constantly trying to zone you, chipping you down with damage as you try to close in to deal your own. Weapon users can switch from up close and personal to zoning in a heartbeat. Every single fighting style move save for smash requires pinpoint accuracy in the air, meanwhile mages and weapon users have much more reliable ranged options to put pressure on people who airstall, options that are far more forgiving.
Rushdown itself is known as a very buggy move,
There are three kinds of rushdowns:
“I clearly hit that why did I phase through them”
“I clearly didn’t hit that why did he teleport over here.”
“I was mid combo and it just stopped for some reason.”
Having your combo starter be unreliable is a serious downside to any build, rushdown can be the difference between winning a fight and getting bullied on any berserkers build, hell even warlocks or warlords who lean heavier into fighting styles can rely on rushdown to get some damage going in a combo and its not the most reliable move in the game.
As many said before, they also lack any synergy whatsoever. Mages can mix and match magics, warriors get huge aoe to compensate for a lack of bonus damage, and you get nothing.
Knocking Fist will be the first fighting style to breathe some life into the combat option. Its a fighting style based around lightning at higher levels, meaning it can combo with sailor. Right now only iron legs bleed and thermo can really synergize. Hopefully we get more fighting styles that apply unique effects that can be used to combo.
Berserker isn’t bad(even non Tank Iron Leg Boxing). Not surprised this trash take is coming from such a clown.

Realistically I think most berserkers can and should beat mages. Mage has no mobility besides vertical and slightly angled jumps, while fs has things like rushdown and crash to come close enough to them and pummel them with both types of smashes and maybe crash.
Even if they’re at a distance, there’s axe-slash and shot if you can predict and aim well enough.
