Why is Br*tain canon? (Tw: mentions of br*tain)

Ok so, according to the lore doc, the au was the same as our world until 100 ad, but Britain isn’t in our world. And it isn’t mentioned in Greek myth at all, so why is it there? Was vetex really unable to think of a realistic location for the origin of most major characters, so he just slapped in a fantasy island in the “same as our world till 100 ad” lore? Unless Prometheus (or hades more likely) raised it from the ground after magic was given to the humans, I have no idea where it came from???

Oh yeah this is a joke by the way in case you couldn’t tell (looking at you darkshadow)

because the brits are just better

well, one thing is that we know that France is canon (commodore kai being gay on unrelated note)

and the bri’ish has beef with france

Because Rome had already invaded Britain in 43 ad a good 57 years before magic was introduced to humanity. This invasion is what brought about the later Boudican rebellion and the later development into what we consider modern England. So it’s actually rather reasonable to have the Britains be in this world as it had been established before the advent of magic.

Granted it is odd that towns such as Dunwich should still be around seeing it was founded in the late 7th century, so why that stayed the same I’ve got no clue. Just Vetex being Vetex.

None of these respond as to why a non existent island is canon though, where did it come from

wait, you’re telling me that the british empire can actually invade the dark sea so they can rule the waves as seen in my first daily poll?

Where did you get that from

We have dragons, giants, gods, and Sea Curses, we can have the queen of england.

Yeah, but it’s implied that Britain was there BEFORE the timeline split, even though it doesn’t exist in our world

Since Britain isn’t in Greek mythology, where did it come from?

My theory is that there was a second timeline split, and it’s the existence of britain. This is what caused AO to be so different from AA, such as the existence of Warren.

The British will themselves into existence through sheer spite

The British invaded the timeline /j

Dunwich wasnt mentioned in the lore doc until Y1046, which if the 100 ad thing is true, then that means it was around 1146 AD. Dunwich was mentioned in the Domesday book (made in 1086) irl with a population of around 3000 citizens. So it is completely viable for Dunwich to be a location within the lore

I will ALSO note that King Arthur (cursebeard) is noted to be a BRITISH figure and he was around hundreds of years before even then. Britain has been around for longer than you know
