Glass is, too my knowledge, the only Magic who’s hotbar icon doesn’t match it’s symbol on it’s casting circles, and I was wondering why that is.

I think it matches an earlier version of the glass icon, which looked more like the other icons.
Ash’s just looks bad.
Ash’s magic circle reminds me of bread for some reason.

I think they’re meant to resemble the outlines of the hotbar icons, but not the detail and all that. I know other magics can have the same detail between their hotbar icon and magic circle though.

I’m fairly sure the tool icons were designed by Infernoferno for AO, while the magic symbols were primarily made by (with the lost magics as exceptions made by Tobi ofc).
I don’t remember if the symbols are much different from WoM or are basically carried over from that 1to1 (the circles are different but idk about the symbols themselves), but ik for sure the icons were revamped so that might be why there’s a bit of a disparity

All the magic icon emojis we have here are likely the ones from WoM, and the glass one matches the outline in the circle.
