I’ve noticed since I started to play AO that the game gets SUPER dark and hard to see at night, even with torches and lamps. It’s especially noticeable when diving and basically forces me to wait until day comes back around to dive. But even when I’m just sailing or wandering around its ridiculously hard to see anything aside from just barely around you… I do keep my monitor’s brightness fairly low due to being super sensitive to bright lights (and eyestrain), but even when I do that it’s still incredibly difficult to see, hence why I’m asking here since I think its an issue with the game, not with my monitor’s settings. :<
I dont think it’d kill the dev(s) to let players be able to see more or change the brightness, it might be better to do so given it could lead to better accessibility for some players.
I didnt put this in suggestions since its not really a suggestion but more of a question (not that I can post new suggestions in the first place.)
I agree, Arcane Odyssey should have a brightness setting (like many video games already do, especially the high-profile ones), it’ll help give the intended experience to players that all have differing screen brightness settings (all while serving as a good QoL feature).
I bet you could take a screenshot of an abyssal spot and put it side by side with Arcane Odyssey UI cropped on to a black screen and nobody could tell the difference
Skill issue, should’ve developed night vision as vetex expected from the player.
Srly tho, vetex makes one of the most visually asthetic pleasing maps and hides most of it behind a fog wall, like, wth
